This large restored farmhouse is situated just off the road from the seaside towns of New Quay (4m) to Aberaeron (4m). Both towns have a beach, harbour, good range of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. There are day trips in Cardigan Bay to watch the resident dolphins and sometimes even rarer sea mammals. Llanarth is half a mile away and has a village store and a pub which serves good food. The house has recently been renovated to a high standard throughout.
Aberaeron is a wonderful colourful Georgian seaside town in Cardigan Bay. The attractive harbour has an array of fishing and pleasure boats and you can sit and eat Welsh honey ice cream on the harbour wall or admire the stunning views of New Quay. The beach, restaurants, pubs and shops are all within a 5 minute walk of the house. Dolphins spotting or fishing trips can be taken from the harbour. The town is famous for its festival of Welsh Cobs and the award winning Harbourmaster Inn.

There are several good places to eat within a 5 mile radius of the cottage and numerous visitor attractions including Honey Farm, Bird of Prey centre, Coracle Centre, Cheese farm, Mills and a Steam Railway. Tyglyn Gardens are a 10 minute walk from the cottage and are a haven of peace and tranquillity. Llanerchaeron, owned by the National Trust, is just half a mile away, and is a rare example of a self-sufficient 18th-century gentry estate, which has survived virtually unaltered.

A long winding lane opens out onto the cliff top and leads you to this glorious location.

New Quay is famous for its resident dolphins which are regularly spotted throughout the year. You can take boat trips from the quay out into Cardigan Bay. Dylan Thomas is reputed to have based some of his characters for Under Milk Wood on locals and the town is proud of its Maritime Heritage. Small boats can be launched from Dolau beach but those thinking of bringing a larger boat need to check with the Harbourmaster's Office.
