The Dovecote is an idyllic romantic round tower hideaway for two situated in the beautiful Lower Wye Valley in the border county of the Welsh Marches.

Offa's Dyke follows the River Wye below the Dovecote and the old railway line with its bridge at The Boat Inn (10 minutes walk and serves a selection of guest ales and great pub food) offers excellent walking.

The cottage is one of the last on the former Duke of Beaufort's Estate and within a few minutes of the site where in 1404 Owain Glyndwr won the battle of Craig y Dorth against Henry IV's English army.

This tower is a real "find" and not to be missed.
