Ty Twt Dolls House & Toy Collection
Valerie and Pamela Ripley have recently opened a wonderful “doll’s house museum” at Ty Twt,
Market street, Newport.
The sister’s are well known as passionate collectors of Antique doll’s
houses and toys, and since 1988 have amassed a considerable collection which encapsulates,
in miniature, our social history from Victorian times.
This private collection is considered to be
one of the most comprehensive in the UK.
Well worth a visit for young and old, a great way to visualize Britian’s homes and lifestyles over
the last 170 years. Also see the miniature toy stables, shops, schools, theatres and lots more.
The Ripley sisters have been regular visitors to Newport for many years and have now decided
to make Newport their permanent home, with Ty Twt, as the premise for their fascinating
collection of doll’s houses and memorabilia.
Newport, is proud to boast that it is the only village in Pembrokeshire to have such an
exceptional exhibition open to the public.
