This old stone farmhouse with character is surrounded by lawns and mature trees. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the secluded bay of Aberbach, numerous sandy beaches, fishing, golf, tennis and riding facilities are within easy driving or walking distance, as are the usual village amenities which include a children's play park, pubs, post office and shops. Fishguard & Newport are just a 10 minute drive away and have an excellent range of galleries and restaurants.
The quarry tiled entrance hall leads into the dining room which has been furnished with a round dining table and eight chairs, ornamental Victorian fireplace, colour TV, and occasional furniture. The large farmhouse style kitchen leading onto the patio and garden is equipped with fully fitted pine units, quarry tiled floor, full sized gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven. The utility room containing an automatic washing machine and the cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin, are situated just off the kitchen. The spacious sitting room has a Victorian fireplace containing a woodburning stove, two sofas, armchairs, colour TV with video and DVD player and items of occasional furniture. There are three bedrooms on the first floor. Bedroom 1 has a 6 ft bed, built in wardrobes, airing cupboard, chest of drawers and an en suite bathroom with bath, shower, WC, bidet and wash hand basin. Bedroom 2 has a set of twin beds, wardrobe and chests of drawers. Bedroom 3 is furnished in pine with a set of twin beds, a chest of drawers, small dressing table and book shelves. The main bathroom is on this floor and has a bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are approached by a further staircase to the second floor, there is a fitted stair gate at the top of the stairs. These delightful rooms have exposed beams and sloping ceilings. Bedroom 4 has a pine double bed, vanity unit, built in hanging space and chest of drawers. Bedroom 5 has a single bed and chest of drawers. Bedlinen, duvets, towels and fans are provided. There is a telephone for incoming calls only. The large garden surrounding the property has a narrow stream running through it and a small shallow pond. (Garden is not totally secure for pets). A barbecue and garden furniture are provided. There is parking for several cars with additional free parking opposite the house in the Chapel car park. The house benefits from full gas central heating, which is charged according to use and payable to the housekeeper before departure. Electricity costs are included in the rental. Logs can be purchased locally. Well-behaved pets are welcome, but only in the tiled areas. Sorry no cot or highchair. Towels included in rental.
This delightful detached country cottage is in a completely secluded setting overlooking West Angle Bay, Thorne Island and St. Anne's Head. It is set at the end of a private country lane and just 2 fields away from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Angle beach, a safe, sandy swimming beach with a lagoon and rock pools is perfect for children, and only a few minutes drive away. This is an ideal location for hiking, walking, cycling, fishing, boating, surfing and sightseeing. There are pubs with good food in Angle village. Freshwater West beach is close by and widely acknowledged to be one of the best Welsh surfing beaches. NB Sleeps 7/8.

The dining area is furnished with a dining table and 8 chairs and has an open inglenook fire. The kitchen has a range of modern fully fitted units incorporating a Rangemaster cooker with a gas hob and separate gas and electric oven, integrated fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven and a small breakfast table with 4 chairs. There is a cloakroom off the sitting room with a WC and wash hand basin. The downstairs en-suite bedroom has a sea view and is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and chair and French doors. The en-suite has a shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin. There are 3 more bedrooms upstairs. The en-suite Master bedroom has sea views and is furnished with a kingsize bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, fitted wardrobes and French doors to the large balcony with a small table and chairs. The en-suite has a shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin. Bedroom 3 also has sea views and is furnished with a double bed, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 4 has a single bed (with further pull out bed under for occasional use), bedside cabinet and fitted wardrobe. Family bathroom has a suite of bath, WC and wash hand basin.
All beds have duvets and will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival. Towels are available at £3 per guest. A travel cot, fire guard and highchair are provided. The hamlet of Iet-y-Bontpren is located on the edge of Dinas between Newport and Fishguard with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path at the foot of the hill, the imposing seascape of Dinas Head and the family beaches at Cwm-Y-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod. Located in half an acre - with lawn, garden table and chairs, a natural spring and streams - in a woodland setting, the garden has rhododendrons, camellias, and a variety of flowering shrubs, with a large enclosed fishpond.

St Dogmaels is a fishing village which also boasts the ruins of a 12th century Abbey, a working water driven flour mill and a choice of restaurants and pubs. Poppit Sands at the mouth of the Estuary provides the opportunity for a range of water sports. Horse riding and an 18 hole golf course are within 5 miles. Particular care and attention has been paid to the restoration of this traditional Pembrokeshire cottage which now provides a high standard of comfortable accommodation.

Please note - this property would have easily acheived the Visit Wales 4 star rating had there been access to both sides of the bed, rules can not be bent so it had to be awarded 3 stars.
Spectacular views will greet you at this delightful property which overlooks Cardigan Bay. Set down a quiet lane and offering total peace and seclusion, you would be hard pressed to find a more stunning location for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Poppit Sands is the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and there are some fabulous walks in the area. St Dogmaels and Cardigan have a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Dolphins are regularly spotted in Cardigan Bay and there are spectacular views over to Cardigan Island from the cottage.
