Welsh Coast and Country Cottages
Sheltered in the hillside near to the coast with views over the Teifi Estuary, this listed 19th century cottage provides comfortable, cosy accommodation. It is ideally placed to explore both north Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay and is within easy reach of the Teifi Valley and Preseli Mountains. The cottage is only five minutes stroll from the public mooring and slipway, the start of the Coastal Path leading to exhilarating walking, to breathtaking views and the occasional memorable encounter with grey seals or dolphins. Nearby Poppit Sands is popular for water sports with RNLI and lifeguards in attendance. This delightful cottage is approached by steps and footpath from your private parking space.
A stable door leads into Kitchen/Dining room which features the traditional inglenook complete with original range (now decorative), pine dining table and chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooker and microwave oven, fridge with freezer box, washing machine and tumble drier. The cosy Parlour is heated with a woodburning stove and has a comfortable two-seater sofa, chair, colour TV/DVD combi and a good range of local information and leaflets. The downstairs Shower room has a double shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. A ladder staircase and hand rail leads to the gallery bedroom where a romantic, curtained double-box bed (much loved by our visitors) complete this magical all-year-round hideaway for two adults. A duvet with fresh bedlinen is provided and the bed is made up ready for your arrival. From the back of the cottage a door leads onto a secluded sitting area with table and chairs with a natural hillside grotto/water feature for enchanted private evenings, there is also a pretty garden to the fore of the cottage with a seat. Winter breaks are pre-heated. Electric, background heating and one basket of logs are inclusive. Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome. No smoking at this property. Towels are available on request at £3 per guest.
Please note - this property would have easily acheived the Visit Wales 4 star rating had there been access to both sides of the bed, rules can not be bent so it had to be awarded 3 stars.
