This delightful 18th century stone cottage is situated in the hamlet of Parc y Rhos, close to Lampeter, a vibrant and cosmopolitan university town and a hub of Welsh culture and heritage with a great selection of individual shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries.  The town stands on the river Teifi and you can follow it from its source in the Cambrian Mountains past the ruins of Strata Florida Abbey, through Devil's Bridge all the way to Poppit Sands in Pembrokeshire.  The closest beaches are Aberaeron and New Quay, just half an hour away.  There is a pub 5 minutes drive away which serves good food.  This is an excellent area for mountain biking.

Accommodation

Entrance is into the spacious cottage sitting room with a tiled floor and rugs, at one end is a stone wall with an attractive inset gas fire, the sitting area is furnished with a sofa and a TV with DVD, the other end of the room is a "snug" area with 2 armchairs, coffee table and an antique glass fronted bookcase.  The kitchen/Dining room is a spacious L shaped extension at the rear of the house with a basic range of cupboards, electric cooker, microwave and a dishwasher.  The dining area has a refectory style dining table with 5 chairs and a door leads from this area to the garden.  There is a utility area with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and a tumble dryer.  The newly fitted bathroom is downstairs and has a suite of white corner bath with a drench shower over, WC and wash hand basin.  Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both of which have a sloped ceiling and exposed painted beams.  Bedroom 1 has a white metal double bedstead, bedside tables, a dressing chest and a small wardrobe.  Bedroom 2 has a single bed, bedside chest, small wardrobe and a travel cot.  There is an upstairs cloakroom with a WC and wash hand basin.  All the beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival.  Towels are available on request at £3 per guest.  A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available.  A well behaved pet is welcome but must remain downstairs.  No smoking in the property.  There are night storage heaters throughout the cottage, included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £25 per week at all other times.  There is parking space for two cars.  The pretty garden is to the side and rear of the cottage and is surrounded by mature hedges and a picket fence; there is a lawned area with garden furniture.  A lockable shed for storing bikes is provided.
