This traditional detached stone cottage enjoys a completely secluded setting in 5 acres of pastureland along a private lane at the foot of Carn Ingli Mountain. The cottage has been modernised to provide an ideal rural retreat yet it is only a mile or so from the picturesque seaside town of Newport. If you want a relaxing get-away and like walking - this is the perfect cottage for you. There is direct access on to Carn Ingli Mountain and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be joined at Newport. Newport has a very good range of caf?s, restaurants, pubs and individual shops providing everything you could possibly need during your holiday.
Entrance is into the snug room which has a tiled floor with rugs, Rayburn stove and antique chairs - an ideal reading room. The kitchen/dining room has a tiled floor and a range of fitted units incorporating cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge with small freezer compartment and a washing machine. There is a tumble drier in the adjacent out building. The dining area has an antique pine table and 6 chairs. The cosy sitting room has a woodburning stove, ideal for winter evenings, comfortable seating for 6, some antique occasional furniture, colour TV and DVD player. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a suite of bath with overhead shower, WC and wash hand basin. There are two staircases, one leads from the kitchen to bedroom 1 which has a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second staircase leads from the snug to bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers and bedroom 3, which is the smallest of the rooms, has twin beds and adequate bedroom furniture. Bedlinen, duvets and towels are included. There are lovely valley views from all the bedrooms. A highchair is available, please bring your own cot. There is oil fired heating throughout the property, electricity and heating are charged for by meter reading. A basket of logs is provided on arrival, they may be purchased locally thereafter. Outside there is parking for up to 4 cars. There is a lawned hillside garden to the rear and a gravel patio to the fore which are gated and enclosed. Wooden garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. Pets are welcome.
