This beautifully converted barn is situated just a couple of miles outside of Laugharne which is famous as the village where Dylan Thomas lived and wrote in his boat house. Laugharne castle stands on a low cliff in the centre of the village and there are several pubs (including Browns Hotel), restaurants and shops. Pendine Sands are a 10 minute drive away and there is a 7 mile stretch of sand made famous by Malcolm Campbell and his car Bluebird. The County Town of Carmarthen is 13 miles away and has an excellent selection of high street and individual shops. The property is furnished and equipped to a high standard with quality fittings and furnishings throughout.
Entrance is into the large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room which has a high vaulted open beam ceiling and wood and slate floor. The kitchen area has a range of fully fitted wooden units incorporating an electric double oven with gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave oven. There is a large farmhouse dining table and 8 chairs. The sitting area has a woodburning stove style electric fire and is furnished with a leather corner suite, Welsh settle with cushion, colour TV, DVD and Freeview. Stairs lead from the sitting area to the triple bedroom. The triple bedroom has three single beds, dressing table/chest of drawers and wardrobe space. There is an en suite bathroom with a white suite of freestanding bath, hand held shower, WC and wash hand basin. There are two bedrooms downstairs. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe and bedside chests. Bedroom 2 has twin 3' beds, wardrobe, bedside table and a chest of drawers. There is a drive-in wet room shower (wheelchair accessible) with shower, WC and wash hand basin. All the beds have duvets and will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival. Towels are included. A cot, highchair and stair gate are available on request. There is parking for several cars. No pets. No smoking in the cottage. There is a patio area with table and chairs and a barbecue. Heating is by oil and this is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £25 at all other times (payable to the owner).
