Cable Cottage is a truly unique property in a superb cliff top location. It was originally one of the tiny stone cable huts used when telephone cables were first laid across the Atlantic. It is an exceptional location commanding spectacular panoramic sea views over Fishguard Harbour, out towards the Irish Sea and along the dramatic coastline towards Dinas Head. Guests will enjoy walking the Coastal Path which is just one field away, and can be approached through the owner's farmland below the cottage. This is an excellent base to explore a selection of sandy beaches and coves which are renowned for some of the best swimming and surfing in the County.

Accommodation

The local owners have taken great care when renovating the cottage to retain the character and charm throughout. The cottage is extremely well appointed, which is apparent immediately upon entry. The door opens into utility room which has a tiled floor and is fitted with light oak units, Belfast sink, automatic washing and tumble drier. The attractive open-plan lounge, kitchen, dining room is very spacious with superb sea views from the windows and French doors. The lounge area is furnished with comfortable sofa, easy chairs and colour TV and occasional furniture, the kitchen is extremely well-equipped with a good range of light oak units, double oven, and separate ceramic hob, built in microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge, separate freezer, granite worktops, breakfast bar and chairs. French doors open onto the patio area where barbecue garden furniture is provided. After all that activity, after a day exploring the area, why not relax in the evening sun on the patio. The ground floor bedroom, to the rear of the cottage, enjoys views of the Preseli Hills. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and matching bedroom furniture. The en suite shower room contains a large shower cubicle with electric shower, WC and wash hand basin with granite worktops and ample storage. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with double bed and fitted wardrobes. The en suite shower room contains a shower cubicle WC wash hand basin with marble units. Pretty bedlinen is provided for the beds which all have duvets. A cot and highchair and stair gate are provided. There is full oil heating throughout the cottage, heating and electricity are included in the rental during July and August and charged for at a flat rate of £20 per week at all other times, please pay at cottage. There is ample parking at the cottage. Regrettably no pets. Towels £3 per guest.
