Terms and Conditions

Our aim is to get the goods to you as efficiently and quickly as possible, and it is essential that our customers feel secure and have confidence in the services we offer.

Coast&Country operates the following voluntary Web Trader Code. This code in no way invalidates customers’ rights under law and is designed to enhance legal redress.

Our Customers may:

  • Cancel any orders placed at any time before despatch without reason being given.
  • Under The Distance Selling Regulations 2000 orders may be cancelled within 7 working days and within 7 working days of goods received. In the event of an unwanted order being received, the 7 working day cancellation period begins on the “day after” the day that the goods were received.
  • On line orders may be placed with credit card, credit card sent separately or by proforma invoice.

Prices

Prices shown are in UK Pounds and include Value Added Tax (VAT) where applicable (books and maps are zero rated). Postage and packing is charged on a scale which reflects the weight and size of the order, and the distance UK and worldwide. Full details can be found here

Delivery

All orders are despatched within 48 hours of clearance of funds. For availability of the goods, we are of course dependent on our suppliers, and for delivery we are reliant upon the postal services. If for some reason we cannot despatch within the agreed time, we wiill inform you immediately and, with your agreement, arrange another time for delivery or offer an alternative product

Security

All payments are processed using 128 bit encryption technology.

Returns and refund

If you are not satisfied with products you’ve bought from us, you my return them in the condition received within 7 days of your receipt and obtain a full refund from us. You are responsible for postage charges for returns.

We are not responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Proof of postage is sufficient proof of receipt.

This Product Limited Warranty does not affect the buyers’ statutory rights

Receipts, bills and settlement mistakes

We always provide a receipt with the goods. We undertake to correct any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments as soon as possible.

Handling complaints

We promise to deal with complaints effectively and in a manner that is :

  • Fair
  • Confidential
  • Effective
  • Easy to use and well-publicised
  • Speedy – we should have time limits for taking action and telling customers what we are doing
  • Informative – so that we know which services we need to improve
  • Simple to understand and use, and
  • Checked – to make sure that it is working well and getting better

Returns Policy

Our returns policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If you have any specific queries about our returns policy, please email enquiries@welsh-cottages.co.uk

If you think your goods are faulty see below.

Goods ordered may only be returned within the first 7 working days for a full product refund (including vat where applicable, but excluding post and packing charge) providing the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • Goods returned must be received in as new condition
  • All returns must be authorised and be accompanied by an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number which should be obtained by phoning 01239 881297
  • Carriage costs for despatch and returning the goods are your responsibility
  • The Goods remain your responsibility during transit and until signed for by us
  • All goods must be returned within 7 days of delivery

Items returned that are damaged, used or without a valid RMA will not be accepted

Faulty Goods

If you believe your goods have been delivered faulty or damaged, please contact us by phone or email. If it is agreed that the goods should be returned, the following conditions must be met:

  • All returned goods must be authorised and an RMA number included with the returned item. The number will be supplied by us
  • Return shipping cost are your responsibility (refunded if found faulty)
  • The goods are your responsibility until signed for by us

If the goods are found to be faulty

  • We will offer a refund OR a replacement will be sent to you
  • We will refund your return shipping cost

If the items are found not to be faulty

  • You are responsible for any collection or return delivery charges incurred
  • We will offer a refund subject to a re-stocking fee of 20% of the cost of the goods (including VAT where applicable)
