Once a very busy port, Amlwch due to its coastal location is now a very popular destination for holiday makers.
It is Wales’ most northerly Town and is situated on the north east coast of Anglesey.
The Town has seen a quite varied past, during the 18th century it was one of the largest Towns in Wales due to its proximity to the Parys Mountain copper mine.
You will find a selection of pubs and a shop near the picturesque harbour which houses some historic remains from the Towns past.
Nearby you will find Bull Bay Golf Club and heading east on foot from the harbour will take you on to some lovely walks along the cliffs.
If you are looking for a bite to eat whilst in Amlwch, try the Liverpool Arms on Machine Street, or the Adelphi Vaults on Quay Street.
