A Medieval Welsh Castle established by Llywelyn ap Gruffydd – the Prince of Gwynedd during the late 13th century. The castle stands on a hill overlooking the Severn Valley. Access to the castle is from 10am to 4pm daily excepting the 24, 25, 26th December and New Years Day.
The castle is in CADW’s trust.
The nearest eatery to Dolforwyn Castle can be found at Abermule a short distance to the south east of the Castle. Head for the Abermule Hotel on the B4386.
