Monmouth Town and River Monnow

A country Town on the bank of the River Monnow, close to the border with England.

Evidence shows occupation here since the Roman times and the Normans also built a castle here in the 11th century.

There are a good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafe’s to browse as well as much history to discover including a 13th century bridge with gatehouse, the Monmouth Museum and Monmouth Castle.
