In the village is a pub which has regular live music nights, a hand full of houses and not much else &#8211; which makes this a peaceful location even in the height of summer.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Find out more about this lovely village with our quick facts&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Spending a day at Nolton Haven<\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2065\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2019\/12\/iStock-1301644264-1.jpg\" alt=\"Nolton Haven\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nolton Haven was once part of a coal-mining enterprise between 1850 and 1905.<\/li>\n<li>Plant fossils can be found among the boulders on the beach.<\/li>\n<li>A small distance south of Newgale, Nolton Haven is a sheltered little village with a small sandy beach. There is parking in the car park just behind the beach.<\/li>\n<li>Boats can be launched via the concrete slipway which leads down to the beach and swimming is good on mid to high tide &#8211; care should be taken at low tide as there can be strong currents.<\/li>\n<li>The cliffs surrounding the Haven can make for interesting exploration, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitpembrokeshire.com\/explore-pembrokeshire\/coast-path\">Pembrokeshire Coastal Path<\/a> passes across the beach here and closer inspection of the cliffs will reveal good veins of Coal and Sandstone amongst others.<\/li>\n<li>Some 3.5 miles south of Nolton Haven is the ever-popular village of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/broad-haven-holiday-cottages.html\">Broad Haven<\/a> with its vast expanse of sandy beach, should you fancy somewhere a little busier.<\/li>\n<li>North of the village is Hilton Court Gardens and Craft, a popular garden centre with a restaurant on-site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"twelve columns article-map\"><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Planning a visit to Nolton Haven?
