Milford Haven is a town in Pembrokeshire<\/a> on the Milford Haven Waterway; the natural harbour has been used as a port since the middle ages and is one of the deepest in the world.<\/p>\n

Milford Haven is just 7 miles from both Pembroke<\/a> and Haverfordwest<\/a> and a short car journey from many other pretty towns that are also on the coastal path such as Fishguard<\/a>, Tenby<\/a> and St. Davids<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spending the day in Milford Haven<\/h2>\n

There is parking at the quayside (Nelson Quay) and you can walk all the way along the front where there are various shops & restaurants on the Milford Haven marina. A firm favourite among locals and visitors alike is Martha’s Vineyard<\/a> – a family-run bar and restaurant serving up freshly-caught seafood dishes with spectacular sea views.<\/p>\n

Milford Haven hosted the start of the 1991 Cutty Sark Tall Ships race and since then has hosted Seafair Haven a maritime festival that takes place every two years. Every other year In June there is also the Pembrokeshire fish week – perfect for seafood lovers!<\/p>\n

Whatever the weather there is something to do in Milford Haven. Try bowling, catch a play at the Torch Theatre<\/a> or a swim at the local leisure centre. You can also access the beautiful coastal path and admire the stunning scenery and wildlife.<\/p>\n
