As you walk along the cliff footpath, you&#8217;ll pass by a landmark known as &#8216;King\u2019s Quoit&#8217;, an ancient burial chamber dating back over 11,000 years. Even if you&#8217;re not much of a history buff, you&#8217;ll still find plenty of things to see and do here.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the village and the surrounding areas are part of the scenic Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, so there&#8217;s plenty of choices when it comes to picturesque walking routes. With its sandy beach, dramatic sea cliffs, and quaint village streets, it&#8217;s quite easy to see why it&#8217;s become a popular visitor attraction.<\/p>\n<h2>Are there any amenities within the village?<\/h2>\n<p>A small village of narrow residential streets which harbour a pub (The Castle Inn), tea rooms, restaurant and a local shop. There is also a castle at Manorbier and although it is in private hands the castle is open to the public. It&#8217;s well worth a visit as it contains a lovely garden and children will love exploring the towers.<\/p>\n<h2>Visiting the castle<\/h2>\n<p>Sat on the clifftops, <a href=\"https:\/\/manorbiercastle.co.uk\/\">Manorbier Castle<\/a> watches over Pembrokeshire&#8217;s glittering coast. This Norman fortress dates back over 900 years and offers a unique insight into what life was like for those in the village during the late 11th century. Incredibly well-preserved, this mighty castle has become a popular venue for weddings &#8211; as you can imagine, wedding photos are absolutely spectacular from here!<\/p>\n<h2>What about local walks?<\/h2>\n<p>Below the castle is Manorbier Beach, popular with locals and tourists and a lovely section of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walescoastpath.gov.uk\/?lang=en\" rel=\"noopener\">All Wales Coast Path<\/a> is accessible from both sides of the beach here.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;d recommend trying the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walescoastpath.gov.uk\/plan-your-visit\/itineraries\/culture-and-heritage-walks\/manorbier-to-freshwater-east-pembrokeshire\/?lang=en\">Manorbier to Freshwater East Trail<\/a>, which takes you through the village and over to the golden sands of Freshwater East. This wide beach is an excellent place for dog walkers &#8211; with miles and miles of sand for them to run wild.
