Tucked away on the approach to St Annes Head, Dale is a small village positioned along the B4327. For such a small place it conceals many hidden gems.<\/p>\n
There is but one pub – the Griffin Inn which has fine views over the beach and landing jetty below. Along the front near the Griffin is the Village Hall – Coronation Hall<\/a> which frequently has art and craft exhibitions on display amongst other events. A very short stroll from the hall you will find The Boat House cafe and shop where you can buy all you will ever need for spending a day on the beach opposite. Dale has two more secrets to reveal, if you head off along Blue Anchor Way you will come across a junction – left for St Anne’s Head but veer to the right and you will see Dale Castle<\/a> (private) come into view. Follow the road around past the castle and you will come across St James’ Chruch <\/a> with its quite distinctive tower.<\/p>\n
\nHidden around the corner from the Griffin is Dale Yacht Club<\/a>. So in just a few foot steps you will have discovered two of Dale’s secrets. There is also a small Post Office and General Store tucked away on South Street.<\/p>\n
\nNext door to the shop you can also hire kayaks, windsurfing kit or take a trip out with Dale Sea Safari<\/a> and explore the coastline around St Anne’s Head.<\/p>\n
