For such a small place it conceals many hidden gems.

There is but one pub – the Griffin Inn which has fine views over the beach and landing jetty below.
Hidden around the corner from the Griffin is Dale Yacht Club. So in just a few foot steps you will have discovered two of Dale’s secrets. There is also a small Post Office and General Store tucked away on South Street.

Along the front near the Griffin is the Village Hall – Coronation Hall which frequently has art and craft exhibitions on display amongst other events. A very short stroll from the hall you will find The Boat House cafe and shop where you can buy all you will ever need for spending a day on the beach opposite.
Next door to the shop you can also hire kayaks, windsurfing kit or take a trip out with Dale Sea Safari and explore the coastline around St Anne’s Head.

Dale has two more secrets to reveal, if you head off along Blue Anchor Way you will come across a junction – left for St Anne’s Head but veer to the right and you will see Dale Castle (private) come into view. Follow the road around past the castle and you will come across St James’ Chruch with its quite distinctive tower.

Map showing location of Dale in Pembrokeshire

Dale Beach and Village from Dale Fort Field Centre.
Landing Jetty looking east to Milford Haven

More things to do in Pembrokeshire

We show you some of the best spots in Pembrokeshire Tucked away on the approach to St Annes Head, Dale is a small village positioned along the B4327.
