Here’s all you need to know about Newgale…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The village itself is quite small with just a single pub, an ironmonger, an ice cream shop and a surf and beach shop. Newgale is really all about the beach.<\/p>\n If you do fancy a trip to the pub after a busy day on the beach, The Duke of Edinburgh offers classic pub fare with a games room to keep the kids entertained. You can also grab a bite to eat at any time of the day at The Sands Cafe.<\/p>\n If you head a little further inland, you’ll find the village of Roch less than three miles away. Much like Newgale, you won’t find a huge variety of amenities here – but you can pick up some delicious local seafood! Great for taking back to your cottage and cooking up some tasty delicacies for the family.<\/p>\n Newgale is one of our favourite beaches in Pembrokeshire<\/a>. Spanning some 2 miles of the coastline, Newgale beach is an absolute beauty. It is pebble backed with plenty of sand at low tide and there is ample space in Newgale’s car parks to cope with even the most demanding days. Kitesurfing and surfing classes are available on the beach during the busy summer months, so it’s well worth booking an hour or two if you fancy trying out a new hobby!<\/p>\n If you’d prefer to escape the crowds on the main section of the beach, you’ll find an assortment of coves and hidden bays to explore. These are often quite sheltered, making them a good spot for picnics without the risk of sand-filled sandwiches!<\/p>\n Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, but it’s still worth keeping track of the tides if you plan on going for a dip.<\/p>\n Like many beaches, there are dog restrictions between 1st May and 30th September on certain sections of the beach. However, there are some parts that allow dogs throughout the year – the beach map should help you find out which places are dog-friendly.<\/p>\n The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path also makes its way along the beach and some great short or long (depending on your mood) walks can be made along the coastal path here.<\/p>\n A cosy dog-friendly home, Dill Cottage<\/a> is just a mile from the village of Newgale.
