For those planning a visit to Wales soon, we\u2019ve put together a handy guide to the Wales Coast Path…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Want to find out more about this impressive footpath? Here are some quick facts!<\/p>\n The path spans a whopping 870 miles (1,400 km), running from Queensferry in the county of Flintshire all the way around to Chepstow in Monmouthshire. It was first launched in 2012, after the success of both the Pembrokeshire Coast Path<\/a> and the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path.<\/p>\n It\u2019s estimated that a walk around the entire Welsh Coast Path would take around six to seven weeks, and that\u2019s if you\u2019re averaging at least 20 miles a day. We\u2019d bet that even some of the locals haven\u2019t had the chance to walk every section of the trail! You could always try a new route every time you visit if you don\u2019t fancy a full walking holiday.<\/p>\n Wales Coast Path trails are waymarked by posts with a yellow and blue logo with a shell in the center. Many of the posts will also tell you exactly how many kilometres are left until you reach the next landmark, so be sure to plan accordingly.<\/p>\n The path is separated into eight sections, which all connect up with each other. These are:<\/p>\n Get your walking boots on and make the most of your surroundings with these delightful walking routes along the Wales Coast Path. We\u2019ve chosen three of our favourites, from easy strolls to all-day hikes.<\/p>\n Distance:<\/strong> Two miles The Marloes Sands to Martin’s Haven, Pembrokeshire trail takes you along dramatic sea cliffs, with incredible views across the islands of Skomer<\/a>, Skokholm and Gateholm. If you\u2019re visiting during late summer, keep an eye out along the coast for the grey seals and their incredibly cute pups. The wildflowers along the clifftops are absolutely beautiful during the spring and summer months, although you\u2019ll still find plenty to look at if you\u2019ll be visiting in the autumn!<\/p>\n Distance:<\/strong> Two miles A nice and easy walking route, the Aberporth to Tresaith, Ceredigion<\/a> trail takes you along the clifftops that connect these two lovely coastal villages. Half of this walk is completely flat and wheelchair-friendly, making it an excellent choice for those with mobility issues or parents with buggies. There are also picnic benches along the way, as well as the chance to stop and enjoy two sandy beaches.<\/p>\n Distance:<\/strong> Varied Discover all the best sights of Carmarthenshire Bay and the Gower<\/a> with this multi-day walking route. Ideal for those who are planning a weekend of scenic walks, this lovely route covers over 25 miles of stunning coastline.
