Here are some interesting facts!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The coastal path stretches 186 miles along this delightful coastal county.<\/li>\n<li>The majority of the route is set along the clifftops, allowing walkers to enjoy the very best panoramas of the dramatic coast.<\/li>\n<li>The highest point of the path is Pen yr Afr on Cemaes Head, at 574 feet above sea level.<\/li>\n<li>Most of the path is set within the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast National Park &#8211; the only coastal national park in the whole of Britain.<\/li>\n<li>The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passes by a whopping 58 beaches!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Five scenic routes along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path<\/h2>\n<p>With so many amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/blog\/walks-in-pembrokeshire\">Pembrokeshire walking trails<\/a>, choosing our favourite routes was no easy feat! From day-long walks to afternoon strolls, here are five of the most scenic trails along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Lydstep to St Govan&#8217;s<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> Challenging<br \/>\n<strong>Length:<\/strong> 14\u00bd miles<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2351\" src=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2021\/09\/resized-image-Promo-2021-08-23T210424.073.jpeg\" alt=\"Lydstep Haven Beach\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Quite a strenuous walk across a varied landscape, this route from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitpembrokeshire.com\/explore-pembrokeshire\/coast-path\/lydstep-to-st-govans\">Lydstep to St Govan&#8217;s<\/a> will take you at least five hours (especially if you want to leave plenty of time for a picnic!). Just before you arrive at the scenic village of Manorbier, you\u2019ll pass by an ancient burial chamber known as the \u2018King&#8217;s Quoit\u2019. Fancy a break on the beach? If the tide is out, you can scramble down to the golden sands of Freshwater East.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay at\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/cottage\/South-Wales-Pembrokeshire-Freshwater-East\/Beach-Cove-1036173.html\">Beach Cove (Ref. 1036173) Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Boasting spectacular views across the shimmering waters of Freshwater East, Beach Cove is a charming timber-clad beach house. Sleeping up to six guests across three bedrooms, it\u2019s the perfect choice for a seaside break with the family. There\u2019s a whole host of pretty bays and coves to explore in the local area, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is well within walking distance.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>3. Starting from the marina in Milford Haven, this lovely trail takes you across to the scenic village of Dale.<\/p>\n<p>Along the way, you\u2019ll get the chance to climb down to the secluded Monk Haven beach &#8211; great for a quiet picnic or a sit-down before carrying on with the rest of the walk. When you arrive at Dale, it&#8217;s time to put up your feet and enjoy the views from one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/blog\/pembrokeshire-pubs\">our favourite pubs in Pembrokeshire.<\/a> You&#8217;ve earnt it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay at\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/cottage\/South-Wales-Pembrokeshire-HaverfordwestHwlffordd\/Blackrock-Boathouse-1036102.html\">Blackrock Boathouse (Ref. 1036102) Dale, Pembrokeshire<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Set right on the waterfront, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/cottage\/South-Wales-Pembrokeshire-HaverfordwestHwlffordd\/Blackrock-Boathouse-1036102.html\">Blackrock Boathouse<\/a> is a delightful one-bedroom retreat in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welsh-cottages.co.uk\/dale-peninsula-holiday-cottages.html\">Dale<\/a>. From sailboats and seals to kayaks and climbers, Porth Clais is a hub of activity during the spring and summer months. The scenery from the tops of the cliffs is absolutely breathtaking, especially on a clear summer\u2019s day.
