Situated between the villages of St Ishmaels and Herbrandston in Pembrokeshire, Sandy Haven is a small sandy beach with some stepping stones, plenty of seaweed covered rocks and a small stream.<\/p>\n

The stepping stones can be accessed for a couple of hours on either side of low tide and make for ideal crabbing opportunities. The seaweed-covered rocks can provide plenty of fun also – hunting for limpets and other shellfish hidden under the seaweed.<\/p>\n

Where is Sandy Haven Beach?<\/h2>\n

Access to Sandy Haven is via a very narrow single country track from the village of Hebrandston. Along the way, you should come across a sign for the estuary car park on the left. From here, follow the footpath through the camping park to reach the bay.<\/p>\n

Facilities at Sandy Haven Beach<\/h2>\n

There are no amenities at Sandy Haven Beach, save for a small car park with a low (7ft) height restriction. We’d recommend packing a picnic and a flask if you’re planning on spending the day here – otherwise you’ll need to head back into the village to refuel.<\/p>\n

For refreshments or lunchtime meals, head for The Brook Inn<\/a> at St Ishmael’s. This friendly local pub serves up traditional home-cooked lunches and a good choice of ales.<\/p>\n
