At approximately 8 miles long, Cefn Sidan beach is regarded as one of the most spectacular Welsh beaches. The beach is situated between Kidwelly and Burry Port on the Carmarthenshire Coastline and due to its size you can pretty much guarantee a quiet spot away from the crowds. It is staffed by the RNLI and has a safe swimming area during summer months.
The beach is backed by sand dunes and Pembrey Forrest which also houses the Pembrey Country Park. The dunes are also an SSSI site.
Facilities include toilets, a cafe/restaurant and a shop which sells various beach wares. There is ample parking space in the many car parks - a fee is charged.
