Nant yr Arian

We show you some of the best spots in Ceredigion

Bird Watching at Nant Yr Arian

Nant yr Arian (Stream of Money or Stream of Silver - literal translations from Welsh) is situated around 12 miles east of Aberystwyth. More information on the lead and silver mines can be found here...

Today the tranquillity is broken only by traffic on the A44 and visitors arriving at the Bwlch Nant yr Arian visitor centre.

Situated up the valley some 3 miles from Goginan is the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre and kite feeding station. The Centre is quite a mecca and offers scenic walks through the woodlands and around the lakes, mountain biking, adventure play areas and an Animal Puzzle Trail. The Daily feeding of Red Kites is also very popular - quite a spectacle and can be seen from the onsite cafe which overlooks the lake. Other nearby places to eat include the Druid Inn (towards Aberystwyth on the A44) or the Red Kite Cafe (towards Llangurig on the A44).
