“On arrival the house gave us the WOW factor.”

The overall design was very much to our liking and the oak framing of the building is very impressive! The general layout would be difficult to criticise and there were lots of thoughtful little touches. Our two young grandchildren were delighted with the ‘little people’ table and chairs. The kitchen was well appointed and provided everything one could need. The house is beautifully situated with super views and a large garden - child and dog safe! The kitchen was well appointed and provided everything one could need. The house is beautifully situated with super views and a large garden - child and dog safe! Lots of places of interest and beaches are within easy reach. We had a wonderful week and have promised ourselves we will return! “The property is a good looking building unfortunately our stay was let down with the cleanliness.”

There was a large amount of hair from the previous occupant’s that I had to pull out of the bath plug hole because the water was blocked when having a shower. There was an infestation of flies with no means of getting rid of them. The cleaning sponge and cloth in the kitchen was old and absolutely filthy. There was no supplies such as washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets. We did not feel at home at any time of our stay. Very disappointing.

I'm very sorry to hear that you felt you had a disappointing stay at Yr Adfa. Unfortunately none of this was mentioned to us during your stay when we would have happily tried to rectify the issues you raised. When my wife spoke to your husband he said he was very pleased with the property and understood that there was little we could do about the fly situation, which I understand has been a problem across the country this year due to the much warmer weather we have been experiencing. As I said in my text in response to the notes you left I have spoken to the cleaner to ensure that all plug holes are checked to ensure they are clear in future. The hair that was blocking the shower seemed to be some sort of hair piece or extension, which I would not have expected the previous guests to try and flush down the plug. Also I left you a new sponge and a j cloth as well as a washing up brush and a few dishwasher tablets which is done for all guests and this system seems to have worked well so far. The cloths and sponges left under the sink are for any very dirty cleaning needed e.g. dogs, shoes, floor spills etc are needed and are not intended for use in the sink. Whilst these are used, they are not dirty. Again, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your time at Yr Adfa and wish we'd had the opportunity to deal with your concerns while you were here, when we would have done our best to resolve them. “Absolutely stunning setting.”

Beautiful holiday let, more like home. Owners were very attentive and on hand if we needed them. Nice home made Bara Birth cake baked for us on arrival. Good location with lots of lovely walks and beaches around. Would definitely come back again.

Tregaron is a lovely, ancient market town resting between Ty'n-yr-eithin and Llanddewi-Brefi in Ceredigion. The town is well-known for its excellent walking, cycling and mountain biking opportunities, with a range of routes on offer, and offers a good selection of attractions including the Tregaron Red Kite Museum, Tregaron Playground, and walks along the Afon Brennig.
