    “We really enjoyed our stay.”

An excellent base for exploring nearby towns in mid Wales, Aberdyfi, Tywyn, Machynlleth. The property itself was like being in a private bubble of relaxation. No other properties nearby, with breathtaking views across the mountains. We loved seeing the calf’s come down for their breakfast every morning and watching the abundance of red kites. The property is exceptionally clean, warm and spacious. The heated conservatory was a fantastic place to watch the sunrise, the sunset and enjoy the ...

Machynlleth 4.8 miles.

Cae Gogrydd, recently lovingly renovated with style and comfort, is set on a private track, showcasing Wales’ picture-perfect countryside from an elevated position in Aberhosan, Powys.

This detached, truly old Welsh cottage, just on the outskirts of Snowdonia National Park is idyllically isolated and tranquil, surrounded by magical panoramic views of the surrounding farmland and rolling green hills, beams, and character features throughout, and a bright and airy décor.

Ample off-road parking greets you, before making your way into the second sitting room, complete with wooden cladding, large windows, and a variety of seating, from which to admire your holiday setting.

From here, the kitchen/diner adds a contemporary twist, with a breakfast bar, dining seating for up to five guests and all the appliances you need for a self-catering stay.

Moving through the cottage, find the sitting room with a woodburning stove and TV, for when you’re ready to cosy up, along with a handy shower room and utility for freshening up yourself and your clothes!

Finishing off the ground floor is a double bedroom with doors out to the patio area where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning sun, whilst upstairs lies another shower room, a double, and a quaint single, each bursting with that inviting Welsh character.

Also enjoy the conservatory with a large slatted roof with double glazing and French doors leading to the front garden and patio area.

On warmer days, step out into the gardens, one with patio and lawn area in the front and a traditional cottage garden at the rear, and savour your morning coffee while your four-legged friend enjoys stretching their legs, before returning in the evening whilst you relax and absorb the Welsh air within a dark sky area.

Machynlleth, a picturesque market town a scenic few minutes drive away, offers a variety of stores, pubs, and cafés, as well as attractions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Machynlleth Clock Tower, and Owain Glyndwr's Parliament House.

There are numerous walks to explore in the beautiful Welsh countryside, with many cycling routes and footpaths nearby, including the Wales Coastal Path from Aberdyfi to Machynlleth and the well-known Glyndwr's Way, which are within reach from the cottage by car, or if you’re feeling energetic, set off directly from the cottage, but be sure to pack some lunch!

The cottage is perfectly situated to discover the beauty of the Dyfi Valley and the stunning beaches of Aberdyfi, Birth and Ynys Las.

From walking, biking, kayaking, and horseback riding to golf and bird viewing, there is plenty to keep you entertained within the area.

The majestic Snowdonia National Park provides fantastic outdoor options for those adventure seekers.

Aberdyfi, a popular seaside town along the estuary, is only a drive away and ideal for a day out at the beach, as are Borth and Ynyslas for neighbouring beaches.

Take in the tranquil ambiance of the Mid Wales mountains, with a holiday at Cae Gogrydd.
