“This is our 2nd stay at the Cwtch this year.”

Ideal family accommodation with hot tub and everything we needed for six of us; grandparents, parents and children. Excellent hosts. Our 2 dogs loved the Cwtch. Superb location a 15 minute walk from the dog-friendly beach. Nearby shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways that we used were all good, many dog-friendly. The Cwtch is only 5 minute's walk from the train station with trains via Swansea and Cardiff to London and Manchester, and many other destinations without changing trains. Easy ...

Easy access from nearby Llanelli for the scenic 120 mile Heart of Wales railway line. Good hourly bus services to Swansea and Carmarthen. We will return next year! David.

About the location

BURRY PORT

Llanelli 4 miles; Kidwelly 5 miles; Carmarthen 16 miles.

Burry Port is perfectly located on the beautiful South West Wales coastline and has a selection of shops, a Post Office, several pubs and restaurants. The golf club is renowned for offering all year round sport, no matter what the weather throws at you, and the sandy beach is equally delightful on hot summer, or wild stormy winter days. The harbour is a hive of activity, where you can sit and watch the fishermen return to shore with their fish laden boats. The Millennium Coastal Park with its 22kms of off road cycletrack runs along this beautiful coastline, allowing walkers and cyclists alike to discover one of the most scenic routes in Wales. For the shoppers in your party, Carmarthen is a vibrant shopping centre, with lots of main chain stores plus small, unique Welsh gift shops, lovely restaurants, tea rooms, pubs, a bowling alley and a cinema for film buffs. Llanelli offers a great range of out of town shopping, a modern cinema, a theatre and a leisure centre, as well as a Nicklaus-designed modern links golf course. For horse racing fans, the Ffos Las racecourse is open all year with many meetings and is fast becoming the best new racecourse in the UK. The lovely eight mile long Cefn Sidan beach is just over 2 miles away, one of the treasures of Pembrey Country Park. Motor enthusiasts can enjoy an extensive calendar of events at the nearby Pembrey Motor Sports Centre, whilst nature lovers will adore the National Wetlands Centre Wales at the eastern end of the Millennium Coastal Park.
