“I have stayed in this property twice before, but was very disappointed with Rock House this time.”

The ground floor shower couldn’t be turned off, so you could hear running water all the time and from other feedback this is an ongoing problem. Two of the kitchen chairs were broken and very wobbly to sit on. The freezer was completely frozen up, so that you couldn’t open the draws, it took me over an hour to defrost it, as we had a delivery of groceries including frozen items arriving. The shower in the en-suite was very dirty, the shower hose which should be chrome was black, I cleaned ...

The shower in the en-suite was very dirty, the shower hose which should be chrome was black, I cleaned part of it hopefully the cleaners will notice the difference and clean the shower properly. The ground floor seating area didn’t look like it had been swept for some time, there was even ice cream wrappers stuck to the window sill. There didn’t appear to be any attention to detail in any of the cleaning. There was a sewage smell coming from the boiler room, you couldn’t close the door as it didn’t shut properly so you could smell it all the time. Overall the house looked tired and in need of some TLC, I know the property is on the market but this is no excuse for not maintaining the property as guests are paying to stay in this house and expect a certain standard for a property in this price range. I had a lovely holiday in Amroth as it is a lovely village and my previous holidays in Rock House were wonderful.
