A few recommendations: make sure the tv in living room works properly, improve wifi.

Everything catered for at the cottage. The Welsh cakes, milk and dog food were much appreciated. Half hour walk to Aberporth beach was a bit tricky down the main road with no pavements for some of the way but found small shortcut along public country footpath from hotel grounds. Will definitely book this cottage again.

The cottage was lovely and really well equipped. Carys was really helpful and left a treat for us and our dog. I Would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay there again. The area was lovely and only 25 mins walk to the beach.

Wonderful touch leaving the dogs a bag of treats and Welsh cakes and some milk in the fridge, can’t recommend this place enough for a relaxing stay but close to everything you need chip shop Chinese and a superb Indian takeaway. We will definitely be back

There is only a 3 seater sofa together with dining chairs which meant that all of the family had to squeeze onto the sofa. Whilst we managed, if there were 4 adults occupying the cottage I'm unsure where the 4th adult would sit apart from a dining chair. The kitchen is fitted out to a high standard although every cupboard is full of all required utensils leaving absolutely nowhere to store food if you intend to self cater. All in all I would suggest the accommodation is ideal for 2 adults with very young children but is not really suitable for 4 adults.

The cottage is cosy with modern decor. The bedrooms are a good size. There has been comments about the bathroom being small & it does look like the toilet is in the shower but there are folding doors for when using the shower and really, is clever use of a small space. We had a minor issue with something not working but when I contacted the owner she was very friendly & helpful and had the issue resolved within the hour. We had our dogs with us and there are plenty of grassy areas surrounding the cottages. I only have one criticism (& that’s just as a dog owner), the enclosed patio area at the back is lovely but it could have done with a taller fence so we could have had the dogs off their leads & not worried about them jumping over the planter. But, I would love to go back and definitely have no problem in recommending staying here.

Nice to have milk, Welsh cakes and dog treats left for us on arrival. 2 mins drive to local beach. Lovely place. 10 mins drive to Cardigan to stock up with food and wine. Great place if you are holidaying with your dog as there is plenty of room to walk them at night. Work is on-going to adjacent buildings by hotel owners, but this did not spoil our break.

The cottage was excellent , Very peaceful , excellent location for exploring the wonderful area , Really good if you had dogs aswell , lots of area to walk them , I can highly recommend it and we would stay there again , If it was mine I would install 2 items The main bedroom is big enough for a TV On the wall and then it would be perfect , Also the the walk in shower would benefit from having a corner soap basket / shelf , then stuff would not end up everywhere as it’s quite small , And we Lov to shower together mmm Lol anyway apart from that it’s excellent , so take your dogs and enjoy the great coastal walks , Enjoy wales

From home to home kind of feel, facilities are great. So many beaches to choose from to explore on each day of your holiday. Slight difficulty with the bathroom as the toilet is practically in the shower which makes it difficult to get in and out. Me and my family had a great time!

The cottage was close by to many beaches and it was a lovely place to stay. It is surrounded by some old unused buildings but we didn't mind that because it was quiet. The permaneant resident next door is lovely too. The cottage itself has everything you need. There were a few things that we thought could be better: there is no light above the dining table so it gets pretty dark if eating late; the toilet is in the shower so it gets wet when you shower; the sink is too narrow with the overhanging bathroom cabinet so makes it hard to brush your teeth. I would have also have liked some plastic cups and plates for the kids and to possibly take to the beach for a bbq. Other than that, the cottage was ideal for our family of 4. The beds were comfy, the carpets were soft and there was a nice welcoming touch with milk, tea and Welsh cakes. Overall, we were happy with our experience.

There were lots of marks on the walls. The wet room certainly means the “wet room”. I’ve never sat on a toilet in the shower before!. As previously mentioned in other feedback everything gets wet and you have to mop all the bathroom floor after because the water goes everywhere. The two bedrooms are a good size but a section of the floor in the main bedroom feels like it’s going to give way.. this definitely needs looking at. The Is cottage could be really nice if a little updating wS done like double glazing and better fitting doors. A barbecue ,few more dishes etc in the kitchen, WiFi and sectioned patio for dogs to sit in without having to sit with there leads on. These few alterations would make this a cottage to return back to. All in all we had a good week stay but don’t think we would return.

However there were a few problems. The wet room was so small that when taking a shower, everything - toilet, wash basin, floor etc - got wet! The lighting in the main room was very poor which meant that after dark you couldn't read in the room or see what you were eating if you served a meal late. We were disappointed to find there was no tea pot or cafetiere in the property. These are not the sort of things one brings on holiday or wants to buy while there. There were also no egg cups or milk jugs. And there was a lack of ordinary things which are normally left is self-catering premises - tin foil, cling film, salt & pepper. There was only one toilet roll. And there was no oven glove. It was a shame to slightly spoil the experience for the sake of a little thought.

Lovely cottage in lovely location, walls could do with a freshen up of paint, little things missing like egg cups, no cushions for comfort on sofa, basic cereal bowls for everything whether it be cereal, soup or dessert, 2 mugs had coffee residue in them, dinner plate and mug chipped, bedding on double bed tired,

Lovely contemporary cottage with a full size double bed, an awesome fold out sofa for relaxing and a well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately the oven wasn't operational but we got by with the microwave and hob. Two fantastic neighbours, David and Linda, who made us very welcome. A reliable broadband connection would be great but if you get good weather you won't need it. Plenty of walks with the dogs who also has a great break.

Owner contacted beforehand to confirm arrangements. Essentials inc milk thoughtfully provided (much appreciated). Extremely comfortable beds, and tastefully decorated throughout. The site itself was so unique, I don't think we'll ever encounter anything quite like it again. Loads of fab walks for the dogs, wildlife abundant. Aberporth beach less than 5 mins drive away. The coastline is stunning with lots of lovely beaches within a short distance. Dolphin spotting boat trips from New Quay reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

Me and my wife had to spend a couple of hours cleaning the kitchen plates, utensils, cutlery etc because they had bits of food on them all. We did not cook much in the the oven due to cleanliness. One good thing is that the surrounding area is lovely.

Aberporth is a good base to explore the coastline of Cardigan Bay. New Quay is a lovely harbour town just 25 mins down the road,where you can take a boat trip to go and see the dolphins that frequent the coastline. Mr Cope Newcastle-under-Lyme

The only downfall is the old hotel on the surrounding area, this looks like it's been left to rot away and is causing issues with the area. If the whole area was maintained to the high standards I'm sure it used to have then this would be an outstanding location. Regardless of this I will definitely be booking this cottage again. There's a pub not too far away called the ship which children and dogs are welcome. The food there was also really nice.

Beds very comfortable. Only 2 draw-backs: (1) No toilet upstairs, and if you get up in the middle of the night needing toilet you had to go down stairs. Not good for people with weak bladder. (2) As you enter into the drive-way, the property on the left is a building sight. The grass was pretty high. Other wise very quite (no kids around yet!).

A charming mid-terrace cottage on the outskirts of the seaside village of Aberporth on the Cardigan Bay coastline.
A well-presented cottage with easy access to local beaches and many activities to enjoy, making it a great place for families and groups of friends to enjoy.
The ground floor is made up of an open plan living area with a modern dining table and chairs as well as plenty of comfy sofas, making a great place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area.
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare some good home-cooked meals.

To the outside is a good-sized patio garden with access to the lawned grounds making a good place for the kids to let off some steam.
A short distance takes you to Aberporth with its’ great beaches.
Alongside the beach is a seaside café, fish and chip shop and a friendly pub serving a good range of food and drinks.
The Wales Coast Path passes through the thriving village and opens up fabulous walking along sandy beaches such as the National Trust’s Penbryn, rocky coves of Llangrannog and the local fishing village of Tresaith.
You are ideally placed to explore the coastline of Cardigan Bay with the coastline being rich in flora and fauna with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the local wildlife, or take a trip on one of the dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips for something different.
Further afield you can explore the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park including the Preselli Hills or even take a visit to Aberaeron with lovely places to eat as well as the nearby National Trust’s Llanerchaeron with its traditional working farm.

Aberporth is a small town that sits on the southern edge of Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion, renowned for it's fabulous beaches that attract visitors, all year round. There are two beaches that sit between the rocky headlands of Trecregyn and Fathgarreg, separated by a smaller rocky outcrop. Uniquely, at low tide they interlink, but at high tide, they create individual beaches and create great rock pools for the children to play in and explore.
