The property

Llandeilo 3.9 miles.

The cottage is one of three beautiful converted barns with the owners living nearby and enjoying an idyllic and peaceful location on a hillside with stunning views over the valley and Carmarthenshire countryside beyond.

The cottage has been immaculately transformed to provide you and your loved ones a rural base in which to explore, as well as featuring all the modern conveniences required to enjoy a comfortable stay.

Soak up the surroundings views before entering into the sitting room, where you can kick back and relax on the seating arrangement and flick on the TV or delve into a good book, the perfect way to catch your breath after an action-packed day.

From here, you will discover the kitchen, boasting a quality range of appliances to assist you in cooking up family favourite dishes or packing up a picnic for the next day’s coast or countryside adventure.

For those who find stairs a little challenging, there is a super-king-size bedroom on the ground floor, and has access to a bathroom.

Upstairs, there are zip/link Twins (or request for King Size) bedroom with en-suite shower room.

To the exterior, there is a private patio area, where the chef of the group can light up the barbecue to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining, whilst the large lawn area is great for letting the little ones play.

Just a short walk away is the village of Golden Grove or find a larger selection of amenities within the nearby town of Llandeilo, which is set in the heart of the Towy Valley and plays host to an array of individual shops, galleries, pubs, delicatessens and eateries.

For days out, be sure to pay a visit to the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney, a garden lost in time, alternatively, you could head further afield to the Gower Peninsula, where you can laze on the shores at one of the many beaches or try your hand at surfing at Three Cliffs Bay which is less than 25 miles away.

Outdoor activities are in abundance here, with salmon fishing available on the River Towy, a plethora of mountain bike trails situated across the countryside and for nature lovers, you can look forward to catching a glimpse of red kites, owls, badgers and deer.

Avid ramblers can don their walking boots and explore the Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons National Park, boasting a network of paths for all ages and abilities to soak up this scenic part of the countryside.

Llandeilo in picturesque Carmarthenshire, sits proudly on a hill above the River Tywi, the longest river that flows entirely through Wales. This pretty market town has a lovely selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. A short drive away is the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, and the upland landscapes of the Carmarthenshire Fans and Black Mountains are a walker's delight. The beautiful sandy beaches and cliff walks of the Gower Peninsula, plus the ever popular Pembrokeshire coastline are not too far away.
