Sewin Cottage, one in a complex of three with the owners living nearby, is a great find for a small family seeking a base in which to enjoy all that this part of Wales has to offer, with both coast and countryside awaiting to be explored.

Soak up the surrounding views of the property before entering into the open-plan kitchen and dining area, which is elegantly decorated and houses all the modern convivences to ensure a comfortable stay.

The kitchen area has an array of quality appliances for cooking up a storm to be enjoyed at the accompanying dining table, where you can relish in the company of your loved ones as you tuck into a home-cooked dish.

There is an additional sitting room with countryside views, where the sofas invite you to kick back and relax in front of the TV, the perfect way to unwind after a bracing walk in the Welsh hills.

Once the evening draws to a close, retire to the family bedroom, boasting a king-size bed and a single bed, ideal for a family with a child.

Weather permitting, look forward to heading out on the patio to light up the barbecue and enjoy a spot of alfresco dining on the patio.

If you can tear yourself away from this rural base, take a stroll into the village or take the car out to the nearby town of Llandeilo, where you will find a larger selection of amenities including an array of individual shops, galleries and eateries.

Llandeilo in picturesque Carmarthenshire, sits proudly on a hill above the River Tywi, the longest river that flows entirely through Wales. This pretty market town has a lovely selection of unusual gift shops, eating places and pubs, whilst visits to the medieval Dinefwr and Carreg Cennen Castles add to the charm. A short drive away is the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, and the upland landscapes of the Carmarthenshire Fans and Black Mountains are a walker's delight. The beautiful sandy beaches and cliff walks of the Gower Peninsula, plus the ever popular Pembrokeshire coastline are not too far away.
