The property

Drive up the hill, past forest walks and cycle paths and this charming annexe can be found, attached to the owners’ own home, in the hamlet of Cefn Rhigos in South Wales.

The property has its own private side entrance, accessed through a delightful garden with stunning views that will tempt you to stop and soak up the beautiful scenery.

Step into the light, welcoming conservatory where again, the far-reaching views will be an absolute joy!

The living space is open plan and has a sitting area with a sofa bed, which flows into the kitchen and dining area and lastly, there is a charming double bedroom with an en-suite wet room.

This wonderful annexe is ideal for a romantic getaway or a family holiday and, as the stunning views change so much with each season; they will be spectacular whatever time of year you stay.

In the summer, sit out on the pleasant patio and plan your days out and about.

If all you want to do is enjoy the countryside, then this is the place for you as nearby, the Afan Forest Park is great for both walking and mountain biking, as is BikePark Wales in Gethin Woods, Merthyr Tydfil.

Nestled on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), the array of scenic walks will astound you.

Take a picnic to the nearby waterfalls, enjoy a round of golf, or for the more adventurous, try the local glider flights on offer.

From energetic cycle holidays to relaxing breaks, this is the perfect holiday cottage!

Glynneath 2.5 miles; Brecon 18 miles.

A small scattered village just outside Glynneath, Cefn Rhigos is in an elevated position on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and offers some of the most outstanding mountain views in the area. With a pub which serves good wholesome food and easy access to many woodland walks and fantastic trails, this is a superb location for an outdoor type of holiday. Glynneath offers all the facilities required with a selection of pubs, shops and eating places and also golf and fishing. The superb waterfalls are definitely not to be missed, nor is a visit to the Penderyn Distillery for a warming drink. A superb location to discover all Wales has to offer from the highs of the Beacons to the lows of the breathtaking sandy beaches, a wonderful base to discover some of the best this diverse country has to offer.
