“This is a lovely cottage in an excellent position overlooking Fishguard Harbour- the views are amazing.”

It is a really warm, cosy cottage with plenty of room. The outside space would be good for sitting and relaxing in if you had good weather. An excellent welcome pack left fir us, which was much appreciated. Plenty to go in the local area, with walks from the doorstep. The only slight negative is the very steep drive up to the cottage, which gets very slippery in wet weather.

The property

Perched in an unbeatable location overlooking Lower Town Harbour and Fishguard in Pembrokeshire is Shell Cottage.

This delightful, dog-friendly bungalow is the perfect choice for a family coastal getaway thanks to its three well-appointed bedrooms, garden area, barbecue, off-road parking and open-plan living space.

Ultise the parking at the top of the driveway before crossing the threshold into your new home-from-home.

Step straight into the open-plan living space where you can unwind on the plush sofas with your loved ones while the designated chef of the group makes a start on dinner.

Gather the family around the dining table to tuck into their culinary creations or if the sun is shining why not head outside to the private decking where you can dine alfresco in the sun?

There’s even a barbecue so you can cook up a storm during the summer months.

Admire the sun as it sets over the harbour before travelling back inside to wash off the day’s adventures in the family bathroom ahead of catching up on some much-needed rest and relaxation in the king-size with en-suite, double or twin bedroom.

In the morning venture out to explore all that Fishguard has to offer; find local convenience stores where you can stock up on all of your essentials as well as pubs which are ideal for nights when you don’t fancy cooking!

Look forward to picturesque walks along the harbour; keen ramblers will be in their element as the Pembrokeshire coastal path runs through the village opening up an abundance of charming seaside villages for exploration.

On sunny days, pack up your towels and head to Aberfforest or Newport Beach where you can bask in the sun, splash in the sea or enjoy dog walks with your beloved pooch.

Other must-visit, nearby attractions include Dyffryn Fernant Garden, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Oakwood theme park for a day of family fun!

Make unforgettable memories at Shell Cottage!
