“The cottage is in a lovely quiet area of Pembrokeshire with lots of lovely walks available from the front door.”

A typical Welsh cottage inside, the front room is of a good size but a little tight for 5 people. The bedrooms were nice and the rear porch was a fantastic space where we could clean our dogs off before allowing them around the rest of the cottage. The bathroom was good and the rear patio a sun trap when the weather was nice. A few negatives however, No Welcome Pack, ONE toilet roll left, No starter pack of logs as was stated originally and others have commented on, the living room fireplace ...

A few negatives however, No Welcome Pack, ONE toilet roll left, No starter pack of logs as was stated originally and others have commented on, the living room fireplace needs attention, there is not enough crockery, the fridge is TINY, no space to store food. Most worryingly the garden has two storm drains which exit onto the road and both my dogs escaped through them, the fence along the back is loose and both dogs were able to escape under them, the river is fab but was just another escape route for our dogs. If you are going to welcome dogs into the cottage, please make it secure for them! We spent a lot of time trying to fix these issues and having to put our dogs on leads to go out into the garden. Not sure we would return

Dear Mr Faver Thank you for your feedback and your positive comments about Ty Gwyn. With regards to the points you have made, as you say Ty Gwyn is a traditional Welsh cottage and accommodates a maximum of 4 people with crockery etc for that number. I have contacted the agents to ensure that the information given to guests does not lead to any misunderstandings. With regards to the garden we have sought to ensure that it is as enclosed as possible but as you say with a brook running along the edge of the garden there is a limit to what is possible. Thank you again for your comments. Property Owner

About the location

GOODWICK

Fishguard 2 miles; Newport 9 miles; St. Davids 15 miles.

Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.
