“Had a great trip, the accommodation was exactly what we were after, it was well equiped and the location was great.”- Mrs Flaherty, November 2021
High standard. Thought if everything including iron , clothes horse for wet walking clothes. Really lovely host. Well thought out use of space loved chilling out in little conservatory even in the rain.- Mr Pepper, October 2021
“A truly lovely apartment.”
It was so clean and had everything we needed. We really appreciate how accommodating Richard was with our dogs. They loved the beautiful garden, and would spend ages on the lawn. The apartment is in the centre of Newport, in a quiet side street and handy for both the beach and the town. We would definitely recommend Hengoed.- Mr Jarvis, August 2021
“Close to the beach , amazing place to stay that is truly dog friendly.”
Fantastic pub close by with excellent food and great service.- Mrs Freebury, July 2021
“Lovely cosy property, which was presented to an immaculate standard of cleanliness, and really friendly, helpful and approachable owner.”- Mrs PEETT, July 2021
“Hengoed apartment was a lovely little place to stay.”
The layout was a bit quirky with the TV/Lounge area being part of the large bedroom, but that was compensated for by a conservatory that gave additional, separate, sitting space and a good size kitchen area, large enough for 2 to dine in. Overall the standard of fitting out was good, contemporary and very clean. Richard was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, but once we were in (although we knew he was around if there was a problem - which there wasn't !) he left us to it and the place was "our own". It is really well located literally just a couple of minutes from the pubs, restaurants and shops of Newport and a pleasant walk along the river to Parrog (the harbourside) and the beach. The general area of North Pembrokeshire is fabulous. A first time for us to visit and we would certainly return.- Mr Currier, June 2021
“Fantastic location, lovely apartment and Richard was really friendly and helpful”- Mrs Binding, August 2020
This stylish and comfortable apartment is perfect for couples.
It enjoys a quiet location in Newport yet is just 2 minutes' walk from a selection of excellent pubs and eateries and 5 minutes from the estuary, medieval church, castle (not open to public) and an array of small galleries and shops.
Parrog beach and Newport Sands are a very pleasant 20 to 30 minute walk away.
Newport is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at the mouth of the river Nevern, with Carningli Mountain (The Mount of Angels) as a back drop.
If you enjoy walking, you can join the coast path at the Iron Bridge on the upper reaches of the estuary, where many different varieties of wading birds can be spotted.
Once you arrive at this stylish apartment, you may well find you have no need of your car for the rest of the week!
