    “We had a lovely time , the house is big with lots of space , a lovely bright on suite bathroom upstairs, the views from the back of the property are beautiful, the back garden with the stream and pond is lovely , we ate our breakfast out there every morning.”

    We found the house perfectly situated close to some stunning beaches , I recommend Cwm yr Eglwys this was perfect for our teenage daughter’s who paddle board . Newport is very close with some lovely restaurants, The Castle Inn was wonderful! Beautiful walks along the costal path . We walked to the nearest village, which has a local shop , petrol station and a fish and chip shop Pats Place very tasty ! The house was equipped with everything you needed , even cleaning products , the whole stay ...

Iet Y Bontbren Cottages

Three individual cottages within 50 yards of each other.

The property

The hamlet of Iet y Bontpren, Dinas Cross is between the seaside towns of Newport and Fishguard.

The Pembrokeshire coast path can be joined nearby and the coastal walkers bus (and the service bus) pass the cottage.

A walk along the coastal path not only provides superb scenery but you may also spot seals, birds and even dolphins and porpoises.

Dinas Island, Strumble Head, Newport Sands, Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwll Gwaelod beach are all within a few minutes drive.

Newport and Fishguard both have a weekly Farmers Market and plenty of galleries, individual shops, eateries and pubs.

The holiday cottage is perfect for families and for walking and cycling holidays.There are grounds amounting to about half an acre - with parking area, lawns, picnic table, woodland shrubbery, enclosed fishpond, a stream and a natural spring.

Newport 2.5 miles.

The scattered village of Dinas Cross has a well stocked mini market store and a pub, and nestles between the Preseli Mountains and the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys beaches are both minutes away, both with breathtaking scenery offering the opportunity for tranquil days in perfect settings, and are almost unnoticed by the general public unless they leave the main route through the village, with there being a petrol station, two pubs a fish and chip shop, as well as a restaurant down at Pwll Gwaelod beach. Nearby Newport is a quirky seaside town steeped in history, with various shops, tea rooms and pubs and is also a great place to go boating. With castles, mills, craft centres and golf courses galore scattered all over this beautiful Welsh county, this is the perfect base for a break all year round.
