There is lots of room for everyone and the place is well fitted out, comfortable, bright and cheerful.

There is lots of room for everyone and the place is well fitted out, comfortable, bright and cheerful. The comprehensive games out house with pool, table tennis, darts and table football was a valued bonus.

Very well equipped (possibly in need of some short glasses for whiskeys)! The kettle lid broke and I messaged the owners and we came home to a new kettle on the door step! The boys thought the games room was amazing and enjoyed the playing in the lovely big garden. Honestly one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in, great location for some fun days out and fabulous beaches (which we spent every day on a different one while the boys spent a good 4 hours in the sea) We would 100% stay here again if we were planning to stay in the area!

“We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property.”

Everything we needed or could have ever needed was there. The property was spotless on arrival, the owners were fabulous, they live opposite and are very much on hand if you need anything, but donor bother you at all. The house has been renovated to a fabulous standard, is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and very homely and comfortable. It really has the wow factor when you walk through the door! Very comfortable beds, enough bathrooms and showers and space for everyone. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need to make a great Welsh breakfast, a spot of lunch or a lovely evening meal. Cannot recommend this house enough, fabulous location within walking distance of everything in the village. We had the most amazing week and will defiantly be booking to return.

“Nevern House is such a lovely house.”

There was only 3 of us but very spacious for 8 people. A fantastic extension with kitchen dining with a lovely garden view. The weather wasn't warm so we didn't open the doors to the patio, we loved retiring to the snug in the evening and lighting the log fire. The house was so well equipped. I wasn't sure whether to take a hairdryer, but there was one in every bedroom. We wanted for nothing, and Rhiannon and Derick were helpful from start to finish. 5*****

Fantastic house. Loads of living space on ground floor. Safe for little ones. Lovely enclosed garden. Great games room. Lots of little touches like supply of bin bags, recycling, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and toilet rolls. Owner was lovely and helpful. Thank you.

“We've been on a number of cottage holidays over the years and without doubt Nevern House is the best property we have stayed in so far.”

The cleanliness was superb and facilities excellent. Beds were so comfortable and showers warm and powerful. The kitchen/living area was beautiful and the whole house was lovely and warm, loved the underfloor heating! We had lots of fun in the games room too (which was also lovely and warm), playing pool, table tennis and darts. Location was excellent with a number of fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Two beaches you could walk to and some nice circular walks from the house too. All in all, a fabulous house which we would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks to the owners who were really welcoming and helpful.

The property

Set at the mouth of the river Nevern and with Carningli Mountain (The Mount of Angels), the medieval church and castle as a back drop, Newport has it all!

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined just 5 minutes' walk away at the Iron Bridge on the upper reaches of the estuary, where many different varieties of wading birds can be spotted on a daily basis.

There is a lovely walk to the Parrog which has a small beach and boat club.

Traeth Mawr - the 'big beach' is a 20 minute walk away and offers a mile and a half of silver sand with rock pools, dunes and cliffs, backed by the 18 hole links golf course.

This fabulous stone house is just a few minutes' walk from a butcher, deli, general store and a selection of welcoming pubs and eateries serving excellent food.

Newport is a beautiful coastal town in Pembrokeshire, south west Wales lying on the River Nevern with a selection of shops, pubs, tea rooms, plus an excellent golf course overlooking the sea as well as a lovely sheltered harbour. Newport lies on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is renowned worldwide for its unique landscape and wonderful opportunities to go dolphin and seal spotting. Wonderful coastal walks along the path or in the nearby Preseli Hills with the ever changing scenery are a walkers dream all year round. Learn about history when you visit the mills, craft centres and castles dotted around the county or spend a day at the wonderful Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort where you can learn hands on all about living during that time. See the majestic Shire Horses at the Shire Horse Farm or spend relaxing days on the huge choice of beautiful sandy beaches. All year round this is a perfect location for all the family.
