    “Sadly we were very disappointed with this property.”

    On arrival the house smelt very musty and stale and on inspection we felt it needed a really good clean. We felt that a lot of the problem was with the very ageing downstairs green carpet, this in our opinion needs replacing. You couldn't access the property via the path at the front because it is blocked with a large flower pot and trailing plant so you have to walk over the grass, not ideal in wet conditions. The property is advertised as having a DVD player. This didn't work, basically ...

The property is advertised as having a DVD player. This didn't work, basically because there was no lead attached to it, so it couldn't be connected to the very old TV!! There was a light bulb out in the upstairs shower room and above the shaving mirror. Making this a very dark room to use. Everything we touched in the property felt very tacky. Even when you opened a window you had to wash your hands. As covid is still with us, surely this house should have been given a thorough cleaning? The one saving grace was the lovely conservatory and the peaceful location. This property was not value for money - would not recommend.

    We are very sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay at Ty Norse. We are always ready to listen to feedback and since your holiday, have carried out a full inspection. We are glad you enjoyed the sunroom and sorry you didn't accept the offer of a re-clean when you visited the Coast & Country Holidays office on Monday. Our cleaner cleans to Covid standard and past reviews comment on how clean the house is on arrival. We have now removed the clematis and pot plant but paved access was clearly available regardless of this. The flooring is in good condition and is regularly cleaned. On inspection there was no discernible smell of must. The TV is only four years old and the DVD player had been unplugged. We are confident we are offering excellent value. Repeat bookings testify to this so are very surprised with your review. Property Owner

Dinas Cross is a pretty village situated between Newport and Fishguard on the North Pembrokeshire coast and inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The village has pubs, eateries and village shops.

You can walk to Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod beaches and join the coast path nearby.

Newport is just over 2 miles away and has a larger selection of facilities.

This lovely cottage enjoys a peaceful setting offering all the comforts you could need.

The scattered village of Dinas Cross has a well stocked mini market store and a pub, and nestles between the Preseli Mountains and the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys beaches are both minutes away, both with breathtaking scenery offering the opportunity for tranquil days in perfect settings, and are almost unnoticed by the general public unless they leave the main route through the village, with there being a petrol station, two pubs a fish and chip shop, as well as a restaurant down at Pwll Gwaelod beach. Nearby Newport is a quirky seaside town steeped in history, with various shops, tea rooms and pubs and is also a great place to go boating. With castles, mills, craft centres and golf courses galore scattered all over this beautiful Welsh county, this is the perfect base for a break all year round.
