“Newport is a magical place which I have been visiting for over 50 years.”

Ty Oriel is the most comfortable house we have stayed in, well equipped and close to all amenities. Great that the dogs could stay as well and enjoyed super walks along the estuary and on the beach.

Ty Oriel is the most comfortable house we have stayed in, well equipped and close to all amenities. Great that the dogs could stay as well and enjoyed super walks along the estuary and on the beach. We stayed during the start of the corona virus causing rising deaths and the announcement of the lock down, it was surreal and we wished we could have stayed as Newport was well resourced and people very considerate. Hope to be back soon.

The property

Ty Oriel (Gallery House) enjoys a quiet location in Newport yet is a very short walk from the Nevern estuary, where you can join the coastal path or do some bird spotting. There are two local beaches within easy walking distance; Parrog and Newport Sands; both are picture perfect and offer wonderful walking.

For a small town, Newport has surprising range of restaurants, eateries and pub,s offering everything from fine dining to relaxed al-fresco cafe culture.

There is also a good selection of individual shops to cater for most needs as well as some nice galleries. Carningli, the Mount of Angels is well worth the climb for the spectacular views of the town, the bay and the beyond.

You can park the car up for the week and enjoy just exploring this lovely area of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
