“Quiet location, comfortable, clean & very well equipped.”
We very much enjoyed our stay. Ideally situated for day-trips to the coast e.g. St David's, Stackpole Estate, Tenby, Amroth/Colby etc. Nice to be able to walk around adjacent golf-course. Interesting views, especially from lounge, patio & main bedroom. Some great sunsets.- Simon, September 2021
Nice (steep) garden and veranda, which can get very hot. (Didn’t find a parasol) The house is level with the tops of the trees giving you the illusion that you are in a tree house. Kitchen is well equipped ( including oven and microwave proof dishes, often missing from cottages) and has lots of storage. All cleaning materials were supplied including dishwasher and washing machine tablets. There is no wifi, but mobile (Vodafone) reception wasn’t bad. TV reception was patchy especially for the BBC channels. The owner texted us a welcome message and had put the heating on as the previous few days had been cold. He also texted to wish us a safe journey when we left.- Peter And Ria, May 2021
“Lovely cottage 2 minutes from the beach.”
Really well kitted out and lovely views. Would definitely recommend it!- Susan, July 2020
“I'm conflicted about recommending this cottage.”
If I tell you all how amazing it is then it's more likely to be booked up quick, and I want to go back again as soon as I can! This cottage is a real gem. It's welcoming and relaxed with a decent amount of room for a small family. On our visit there was two adults, a six year old and a two year old and we never felt like we were tripping over ourselves. The real gem though is the decking area. We were lucky with the weather so we got to use it most nights of our stay, meaning that in July it was till getting sunlight and lovely views till 21.30. Being out there with a beer was so relaxing. Pembroke as a base is perfect for visiting Tenby and Saundersfoot, many great castles and some wonderful beaches. Our favorite was Barafundle Bay. Although it takes a walk along a cliff side to get there, it's completely worth it. The cottage itself is close to several supermarkets but away from any busy streets. It's straightforward to find and has allocated parking. You need to go down a flight of stairs to get to the actual property, which is great at making it feel really private but can be a little bit of a chore to get the bags up at the end of the break (but this is a really minor thing). We met the owner a couple of times during our visit. He was always friendly and approachable. We asked for a high chair for our 2 year old and we had it within half an hour. It was also really clear the effort he'd gone to to make the cottage clean and safe before our visit. It was very reassuring. In summary, go for it. You won't be disappointed. The cottage is welcoming, the garden is beautiful, the location is filled with activities and the owner is a gent.- Scott, July 2020
