A fantastic unbelievably spacious and comfortable property which was very clean and had ample bathrooms and really comfortable beds. We had a really relaxing time celebrating a family birthday and although the weather was not great the house and its games room and generous lounge meant that we had great fun and a great holiday together. It was lush! Diolch yn fawr. Minor points -the curtains were a bit thin letting a lot of light in which meant that the children were getting up early and there was no downstairs toilet.

“What an amazing weekend spent at Hideaway House with friends!”

The property was in an ideal location, set in a quiet courtyard but also close to the town and beach. The property itself was immaculate and well equipped. Every bedroom was spacious, with very comfortable beds. The owners were very helpful and we greatly appreciated the tea, coffee etc. that was left for our arrival. It a short walk to the centre and beach so perfect location. Having parking spaces for 3 cars is great and made things a lot easier. The WiFi was great and worked well throughout the house. Everyone in our party commented on how comfortable the beds were. The living room had plenty of space and big sofas to accommodate all of us. The dining area was also great with space for us all to eat together. The only criticisms I have are that the advert states a garden, there isn’t a garden it’s a tiny courtyard that having 4 people in is a squash. The request to strip all the beds and put all the bedding and all towels into a laundry bag is valid and I always strip the beds when leaving a property, however I feel that expecting guests to strip 10 beds and then be checked out by 9:30 is too early. When we were packing the car the owners were outside, the gentleman took time to talk to my husband yet the lady didn’t even acknowledge him. When you’re relying on guests to recommend your house a little courtesy wouldn’t go amiss!

“What an amazing property!”

! We stayed for a family & friends weekend for my husband’s 50th birthday (including the Harbour Hideaway property). Bedroom and communal area sizes were huge, location in Tenby was brilliant, and the weather was fantastic. Noted on the reviews before our stay that a downstairs toilet would have been useful - didn’t think I’d agree, but actually with children staying, it would have been good! Feedback from all who stayed was overwhelmingly positive, and absolutely would look to book again for a large group.

“Great property, perfect location to be slightly out of the Tenby crowds but close enough to go in and out to beaches/shops/cafés on foot a few times a day.”

Huge spacious bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. Gorgeous big kitchen and dining area. Would be brilliant if a downstairs loo could be fitted in somewhere - might be an issue with small children and anyone who might struggle with a set of stairs every time. Hosts were really responsive when we had a few questions about bringing a toddler. Good travel cot provided. Would love to see an extra stair gate or two but otherwise perfectly manageable and our group had a wonderful time in lovely Tenby. We would book here again.

“We stayed at Hideaway house on 9th dec for a long weekend away with friends and our children.”

Our first time staying and we were so glad we booked! Location was amazing, everything we needed within walking distance. Great base for exploring nearby places but also perfect for staying put. Best of both worlds! We were left tea, coffee, milk, plenty of basics which was such a lovely touch, everything was spotless too. Large rooms, lovely and spacious for our 'home alone' size group! The christmas tree was up and some decorations too, more would have been amazing! Everything was great, the only drawback for me was the sofa needs upgrading, the size was excellent plenty of places for people to sit. Very minor, disnt affect the holiday at all, and in icy weather the driveway was very slippery, a simple salt/gritbox outside would have helped, we couldve gritted it ourselves, useful feedback, we would've been happy to do that every evening. We loved our stay that much we booked again for next year! Great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Fantastic house!

“The Hideaway house was lovely and in a fantastic location.”

The town of Tenby is stunning and the house is so close we did not get into the car once. We were a group of 11 adults, ranging from 20 to 80 years old. The house is massive and easily accommodated us all without feeling crowded. The kitchen was amazing for cooking, chatting and eating. The only negative is that there is no loo downstairs so for elderly or little ones it is quite a trek upstairs, and I think this should be made a bit clearer in the description. However, we managed and all-in-all we had a great time!

“I hadn’t realised when booking that other properties were attached to the large main building.”

This made a difference late at night because the noise from the property I.e. fire doors slamming, water pipes running, floor boards creaking and people talking loudly was a nuisance. It was also disturbing when people were in the garden after midnight having a very noisy time.

One negative was there was no full length mirrors in the bedrooms or mirrors near sockets to dry/straighten hair , i had to put little table from lounge in our master bedroom along with my little magnifyong mirror and sit on the floor...it has so much wardrobe space that they could easily of accommodated a dressing table and stool, as nowhere to put face creams / makeup/ brushes! This was the theme in all the bedrooms except a small area in the loft area. Would stay at one of the Hideaway properties again though as Tenby is a great place to visit and it is a very nice property.

“Overall this is an ideally located property with parking and only the 10 mins walk to the centre of Tenby.”

This was the main reason we booked it. Both North and South beaches are approx 15 mins walk. Set over 3 floors it is ideal accommodation for families with a large downstairs area both in the kitchen and living room. Having stayed in many holiday lets there are a few issues that let the property down, but should not detract from the overall experience. The living room was excellent and we made full use of the (small) Table Tennis table. As an observation the kitchen has too much storage even for a large family group. All the often used items, kettle, fridge, dishwasher or all in one corner. One other important issue was the lack of a downstairs toilet, my elderly mother found it hard going up and down the stairs and the property generally is not suitable for disabled people. Upstairs the main bathroom is a good size, but could have done with a shower screen / proper shower. Master bedroom is enormous, with (in my opinion) too many cupboards but nowhere for my wife to do her hair and makeup. The ensuite shower mixer is back to front and care has to be taken as glass screen is not fixed and leaks. The top floor is ideal for children and they can be tucked away or for 2nd family living space. The outside sitting area is small, but not a major issue for us. Overall a very well presented property and despite the concerns we would consider booking the Hideaway again.

“Only a small dishwasher for 14 people.”

A large house with only 2 tvs. There was one pictured in 4 bed room. When enquired where it was - was told it was broken a few weeks before. Disappointing as this was obviously kids room. No vacuum cleaner or mop just dustpan and brush - bonus - no cleaning! Could have done with a chair in the bedrooms as clothes had to be left on floor. Other than that well equiped house with nearly everything you could want. Location was exvellent and so easy to walk to town and beach. Would go again.

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, nice to have a cup of tea straight away . The location meant that the cars didn’t have to be used . If anyone wanted anything fetching from the house whilst at the beach it was a short walk away. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. We have stayed with Sykes in the past and will continue to do so.

It was near to the town and beach. One thing that would have been good was to have a toilet downstairs but we knew that there wasn't one when we booked it. The owners were good when we couldn't fix something. Everything was clean. It was really homely. We were able to get out and about easily. All in all a great holiday.

“The house and facilities are fantastic.”

Lots of space, lovely and comfortable, worked like a dream for 10 people. We did feel that the dishwasher could have been bigger and that a half size dishwasher in a kitchen that size, catering for up to 14 people was daft. We had to do an awful amount of washing up!!!! There were also complaints about the double beds being very uncomfortable and unexpected! King size beds these days are the norm and the double beds were spongy and the occupants rolled into the middle! Not ideal for sleeping! Apart from these details it was a great holiday and the position of the house for walking into Tenby was great and Tenby itself is beautiful and the beaches fantastic. Hideaway House at The Hideaway is a detached property in the coastal town of Tenby in Pembrokeshire.

It comes with five bedrooms including a family room sleeping four with an en-suite, a further family room sleeping four, a king-size with an en-suite, a double and a twin room, along with a bathroom and a shower room, the property can sleep fourteen people.

The interior also boasts a kitchen/diner, a sitting room with a gas fire, a games room and a snug room.

To the outside you will find plenty of off road parking and an enclosed gravel garden with a table and chairs.

The Hideaway

The Hideaway is exactly as its’ name indicates – hidden away from the bustle of the town and yet a short stroll to all the town has to offer - three exquisite beaches, boat trips to Caldey Island, the historic town walls, cobbled streets with quaint gift shops, eating places, pubs and the famous coast path. The complex consists of six serviced apartments. With hints of the seaside they have their own private entrances and are equally delightful booked individually and are perfect for a group of friends together as they offer a variety of styles and sleeping arrangements. The added bonus is the off road parking, park the car up and stroll into town for lazy days on the beach, have afternoon tea and then stroll back to your welcoming holiday apartment. Of course you may wish to explore a little further and from these charming holiday apartments short drives will open up exciting and varied days out. Action packed days at Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton, The Dinosaur Park or The Welsh Zoo will tire out the children. Relaxing days strolling round the historic castles or the magnificent St Davids Cathedral may appeal or find the hidden St Govans Chapel at the bottom of the rocks.
