The Dyffryn Arms pub in Pontfaen is world famous as "Bessies" for its wonderful landlady who serves traditional ale from an enamel jug.
The Preseli hills, National Park and Pembrokeshire coastline make this perfect walking country.
Entrance is into an outer porch and through to the hallway which leads to the spacious dining room and snug which has a traditional tiled floor and a huge inglenook fireplace big enough to sit in and toast your toes on the wood burning stove.
The DINING AREA has a dining table and 6 chairs.
The SNUG has a settle in the inglenook/sime fawr with log burning stove, rocking chair, two comfy wing armchairs a reading lamp and coffee tables.
The handmade farmhouse KITCHEN has simple white painted cupboards, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven and Belfast sink. There is an adjacent large utility/pantry with fridge/freezer, original slate shelves and ample storage.
The SITTING ROOM has a quarry tile floor with rug, tiled fireplace with a second log burning stove and is furnished with a leather 3 piece suite, coffee table, occasional furniture and a TV with DVD.
The FAMILY BATHROOM has under floor heating and is fitted with a suite of bath, separate large shower cubicle, Belfast wash basin and a WC.
There are 3 comfortable bedrooms upstairs.
BEDROOM 1 has a brass double bedstead, bedside tables, long mirror, chest of drawers with mirror, wardrobe and bedroom chair.
BEDROOM 2 has a double bed, bedside tables, slim wardrobe and chest with mirror.
BEDROOM 3 has a single bed with a pull out bed under for occasional use, bedside table with mirror and a slim wardrobe.
There is a raised patio area outside the front door with an attractive border made from sleepers.
Garden furniture is provided and there are views of the moorland beyond.
Parking is plentiful and close to the farmhouse.
There are well maintained redundant farm buildings at this location.
There is oil fired central heating throughout - this is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at £35 per week (please pay owner when on holiday) at all other times. One basket of logs is supplied and more are available to buy locally.
A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are available.
Towels and bed linen are included in the rental.
