This perfect little 400 year old terraced country cottage, originally a shepherds smallholding, is furnished and fitted in a traditional style and conveniently situated on the Newport to Fishguard road in the National Park. This stretch of the North Pembrokeshire coast is spectacular and perfect for walkers with the coastal bus passing the front door.

Aberbach beach is about a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of other beaches and coves to explore along this stunning stretch of the coast.

There are some excellent individual shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries to suit all tastes within a 5 mile radius.

The cottage is ideal for a couple or a small family.

Holiday Accommodation

Ground floor

Entrance is from the gated parking area and pretty garden at the rear of the property into the KITCHEN.

The galley KITCHEN has fitted cupboards, a small Welsh dresser, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and a bread maker.

A door leads to the DINING ROOM which has a huge inglenook fireplace with the original kitchen range (just to look at) and a working woodburning stove, original built in high back settle seat, window seat, beamed ceiling and lime washed walls. There is a circular dining table with 4 chairs, easy chair, sideboard and items of interest including a local butter churn within the original dairy area.

The cosy SITTING ROOM has exposed wooden beams, 4 foot thick stone and lime-wash walls, 18th century timber wall shuttering, window seat and an original fireplace with woodburning stove. The room is furnished traditionally with a local Cardigan Welsh dresser and items of Welsh pottery, comfy sofa, easy chair, occasional furniture, TV with DVD player.

The BATHROOM is downstairs and has a bath with overhead shower, WC and hand basin.

The UTILITY room is accessed through the bathroom or a door from the garden. It has an automatic washing machine and ample space for storing boots etc.

There is a tumble dryer available for your use and additional secure storage and drying facilities in the garage of the neighbouring cottage.

First floor

Stairs lead from the dining room to the linked bedrooms with sloped ceilings and lime washed and exposed stone walls.

Bedroom 1 is accessed via bedroom 2.

BEDROOM 1 has a double bed, bedside tables, dressing table and space for hanging clothes.

DRESSING ROOM/READING ROOM - Perfect for sitting quietly on the comfortable sofa to read or for use as a dressing room or an occasional bedroom.  It is furnished with a single bed, clothes hanging space, sofa, armchair, coffer, small bookcase with a selection of books.

The beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.

Garden and Parking

There is a sheltered patio area to the rear of the cottage with a table and 4 chairs.

Three steps lead to the south facing cottage garden with a lawn and borders of flowers and seasonal vegetables.

There is space to park two cars.

There are open fields beyond the garden.

Other Information

There are night store heaters throughout, electricity is included from 1st April to 31st October and charged for at a flat rate of £25 a week (please leave your payment at the cottage) at all other times.

Solar panels heat the hot water and this is backed up by an immersion for the rare days when there is no sunshine!

Baby equipment is available on request.

WiFi enabled.

Towels can be hired at £5 per guest.

No pets.
