This charming character cottage, which makes a perfect holiday retreat is set in the tiny hamlet of Cwmdegwel, a pretty cluster of cottages in a wooded valley just 10 minutes' walk from St Dogmaels.

St Dogmaels is a thriving community set on the bank of the river Teifi.

The village boasts a beautiful ruined Abbey, working flour mill, mill pond, pubs, eateries, galleries and more.

There are lots of lovely walks from the cottage door and the coastal path can be joined at the nearby Poppit Sands beach.

Cardigan Market Town is a mile and a half away and has a theatre, market, newly renovated historic castle and much more.

Holiday Accommodation

The cottage has been tastefully decorated and fitted throughout providing every modern comfort without losing any original charm.

A few steps lead to the front door and into the ground floor which has three open rooms, each with its own woodburning stove, slate floor and rugs.

The KITCHEN has a range of country cream units, electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge with ice compartment.  The dining area has a table and chairs.

The SITTING ROOM has exposed beams and is furnished with two comfy leather sofas, sideboard and TV with blu-ray/DVD player.

An arch leads through to the cosy SNUG which has a huge inglenook fireplace with wood burner and a big comfy red sofa as well as an armchair and tub chair.

A lovely S shaped staircase leads from the sitting room.

First floor

BEDROOM 1 is spacious and has a high A frame ceiling with rafters and an unusual driftwood chandelier; the room is furnished with a king size bed, bedside chests, drawers, wardrobe and a chair.

BEDROOM 2 has limited space to move around and is furnished with a double bed and has a fitted wardrobe with chest inside.

The BATHROOM has a suite of bath with power shower over, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail.

Bed linen and towels (not for beach use) are included in the rental.

Wild Garden/Patio and Parking

There are two elevated patio areas approached from the first floor landing via a glazed door, decking and two sets of very uneven steps.

The first of these areas has a gazebo, garden chairs and a barbecue.

The second has a garden bench and a table with 4 chairs - perfect for looking at the valley below over the rooftops of the cottages.

Over the single track road is a wild garden meadow beside the stream - this is a nice area for dogs to paddle.

There is parking for two cars adjacent to this meadow and a further off road space opposite the cottage.

Other Information

There are night storage heaters in the cottage as well as three woodburning stoves (one complimentary basket of logs is given and more are available in the village).

Electric is included in the rental.

A cot and highchair can be supplied on request (please bring your own baby bedding).

Up to 2 well behaved pets are welcome.
