Cwm-Yr-Eglwys takes its name from the ruins of a tiny church beside the lovely little beach which is set at one end of Dinas Head between Newport and Fishguard.
It is a perfect spot for children to play and explore and for walking the Pembrokeshire coast path.
From the property, you can take a walk around Dinas Head which has been voted AA walk of the year or you can take a woodland walk behind the headland to Pwllgwaelod, just half a mile away, where there is another little beach and The Old Sailors pub and restaurant where you can get good food and a drink.
Dinas has 2 pubs, shops, tearoom and fish and chip shop.
Newport is just a couple of country miles away and has a fabulous selection of eateries, small shops and a weekly farmers market.
Entrance is into the hallway with plenty of space for coats and boots and through to the large open plan L-shaped room with a double aspect and French doors leading to the railed balcony.
The SITTING AREA has a comfortable corner sofa, occasional furniture and a TV with DVD player.
The DINING AREA has a large table with 8 chairs.
The SNUG has views through the valley to Fishguard Bay and is fitted with a woodburning stove and comfortable seating.
The separate KITCHEN has a range of fitted units, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.
There are 4 bedrooms; all decorated in warm neutrals with a nautical feel.
BEDROOMS 1 & 2 each have a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe and chest with mirror.
BEDROOM 3 has twin beds, drawers and hanging hooks.
BEDROOM 4 is perfect for a child with its "Captain's Bunk" cabin bed, drawers and hanging hooks.
All the beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
The FAMILY BATHROOM has a suite of bath with shower over, WC, hand basin & heated towel rail.
There is also a UTILITY/SHOWER room with a shower cubicle, WC, hand basin and a washer dryer.
French doors lead from the sitting area to the large tiled and railed terrace with superb views through the wooded valley of Fishguard Bay.
A garden table and 7 chairs are provided for al-fresco breakfasts.
A secure gate leads to the steep wooded valley.
There is a patio with picnic table at the front with views of Cwm yr Eglwys.
There is one reserved parking space in the village car park and more spaces can be paid for on a daily basis.
The last 50 yards of the 150 yard walk from the car park to the house is steep but worth it for the glorious views and tranquil location.
A footpath leads to Pwllgwaelod beach (10 minutes walk).
There are night store heaters throughout & electricity is included from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £35 per week at all other times.
A travel cot and highchair are available.
Towels can be hired for £5 per guest (not for beach use).
2 pets are welcome, more by discussion. Pets are to remain in the open plan room and are not allowed on any soft furnishings or carpets.
