Entrance is via a small walled forecourt through a stable door to the DINING ROOM with the original Victorian Fire surround, quarry tiled floor and painted beamed ceiling.
There is a dining table with 4 chairs, small pew bench, Welsh dresser, sideboard and a comfy chair.
The adjacent SITTING ROOM has a carpet, exposed beams, woodburning stove, comfortable 2/3 seater sofa, 2 armchairs, TV, DVD, occasional furniture and a bookcase with a good selection of books, DVDs and games.
A step leads up to the KITCHEN with wooden floor and a combination of freestanding and fitted units incorporating a fan oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
There is also a pantry cupboard.
A stable door leads from the kitchen up some steps to the patio area.
The FAMILY BATHROOM is on the ground floor and contains a bath with electric shower over, WC and hand basin.
Stairs lead from the entrance to the 2 bedrooms.
BEDROOM 1 has a Victorian brass bedstead, bedside cabinets with lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe and a chair.
BEDROOM 2 has twin beds, bedside tables, chests of drawers and a wardrobe.
There is a small low walled garden to the fore of the cottage with views of the quiet street, it makes a perfect spot to drink your morning coffee.
At the rear of the cottage steps lead to the gravelled garden with a raised deck area, garden bench, garden seating and views over the rooftops towards the bay.
Parking is pot luck on the streets of Newport or in the Long Street car park (£1.50 a day in summer & free in winter).
All the beds will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
Towels are available to hire at £5 per guest.
There is gas central heating throughout and this is included in the rental from May to September and charged at £25 a week from October to April, payable when booking.
Logs for the woodburning stove can be purchased locally.
No baby equipment is available.
No WiFi but most of the cafes & pubs offer free access and there is 3G.
