Stunning sea views of Newport Bay can be enjoyed form this delightful and unusual wooden lodge set in its own grounds on the lower slopes of Carningli - Mount of Angels.

The lodge has many eco-friendly features and is surrounded by lawns and a large organic vegetable garden.

A shepherds track leads directly onto the mountain for exhilarating walks and views.

Newport town is just a 15 minute walk down the lane and is renowned as the pearl of the Pembrokeshire coastline.

It offers an excellent selection of eateries, individual shops and pubs as well as a weekly Farmers Market.

Another 15 minutes' walk and you can be at Parrog beach or Traeth Mawr (big beach).

This truly is a perfect place for a couple or a small family to experience the "Good Life" in the "Three Bears" home and to unwind and relax.

Holiday Accommodation

Entrance is via a covered wooden veranda with a bench and views over the garden to the bay.

Step through the door into the open plan living area which is light and airy.

It has a welcoming woodburning stove, laminate wood floors with rugs, exposed wood beams and original artworks on the walls.

The KITCHEN area has a range of Maple wood units and has a 2 ring gas hob, small gas oven, microwave oven, halogen oven, steamer and a fridge/freezer in the upper hallway where there is a stable door leading to the decking and store shed with washing machine.

The DINING area has a dining table with 4 chairs.

The SITTING area has a comfortable corner sofa, easy chair, stick chair, Smart TV and occasional furniture.

3 wooden steps lead from the kitchen area to the upper hallway (which has a stable door to the veranda) and through to the MASTER BEDROOM with double bed, bedside tables with lamps, small chest with mirror and a wardrobe.

4 wooden steps lead from the sitting area to BEDROOM 2 with a raised platform and built in double bed (positioned against the wall), chest of drawers and wardrobe space.

The SHOWER ROOM is off the main living area and has a large double shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.

Garden and Parking

The wooden lodge is approached by a steep track and a wooden gate into the 3/4 acre private grounds.

There is ample space to park and turn 2 cars.

If you do not want to drive up the narrow lane you can leave your car on the roadside and walk up.

The sloped grounds are laid mainly to lawn with mature trees, shrubs and attractive borders.

There are various sitting out areas with benches, garden furniture and a small chiminea provided.

The lower portion of the garden is dedicated to the vegetable garden with poly-tunnel (Seasonal veg are offered when possible in return for a bit of watering and weeding!).

There is a small pond in the grounds which attracts dragonflies.

Other Information

There are solar panels, woodburning stove with back boiler and immersion heater to keep you and your water warm.

One complimentary basket of logs are included.  A whole week's supply can be purchased from the owner by arrangement. Electricity is included in the rental from May to September and charged for at a flat rate of £30 per week at all other times, payable when booking.

A telephone is available with an honesty box.

WiFi is installed.

Beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival.

Towels are available to hire at £5 per guest.

One well behaved pet is welcome but restricted to the open plan living area only.

No baby equipment is available and the lodge isn't suitable for the very young or infirm.

No smoking.

This property does not accept short breaks.
