Dyffryn Arms

Probably the most famous pub in Pembrokeshire, the Dyffryn Arms aka Bessie’s is a must place to visit for a real eye opener in to how a pub would have been 60 years or so ago, which is roughly how long Bessie has been running her house as the local watering hole in the beautiful surroundings of the Gwaun Valley.

It’s like stepping back in time, she serves beer straight from the barrel though a hatch in the wall, just don’t ask for anything fancy.

Bessie is a true character who likes to share stories and jokes with anyone who stops for a drink. The Dyffryn Arms has become one of the top places to visit in Wales and we can only put that down to the cosy, old-fashioned, authentic pub and its unique landlady Bessie.
