A wonderful cottage with great views.
I would say 4.5 stars and agree with other reviewers would be 5 stars with access to a washing machine. There are some micro first world niggles such as a blind on the window next to the TV, an a small shelf in the shower for shower gel.
We have recently returned from our stay here and loved every minute of it.
The converted stable has everything you need to relax (recliner sofas, log burner, hot tub) so you can switch off and enjoy the beautiful countryside views. The lodge is located a short drive away from Aberystwyth and we found it a good base to go and explore the nearby town, nature reserves and hike trails. We love visiting and exploring new places and this lodge is based on a family run business and farm and we love to stay and support small local businesses, rather than big chain hotels etc. The owners were friendly and responsive and wont disturb you, but are on hand, via phone, if you need any support. This was our first trip to Wales and we are pleased we chose Y Stabal as it was stunning and comfortable.
Property and surroundings absolutely beautiful, clean and very well equipped, apart from maybe a washing machine, but that’s the only negative I can think of we had an amazing two week stay at Y Stabal.
