Blaenywawr

Owners only concern was the recycling and rubbish collection.

Never got to meet them in person. Heating on a timer and although we turned down the thermostat in the hall to zero it still came on every morning when it was 27 degrees outside in Awful smell in the kitchen cupboards with some kind of anti insect repellent in a bowl where the crockery was kept. Only one fire alarm seen in the hall didn’t see another and couldn’t see a carbon monoxide detector either in a large 3 bed roomed bungalow. Musty smell throughout which has been tried to be masked with multiple diffusers . Multiple old cushions on the beds and sofas that have seen better days. Water pressure to the shower is very low. Cheap low quality kettle. towels and no non stick pans other than a wok No instructions given for the oven, hob or washing machine had to work it out myself. Normally when we have booked other self catering accommodation a manual is available with all necessary information required. No base was available for the outside umbrella. NO FAN available to use on the hottest week for 50 years. She did message us and hoped we weren’t too hot but no mention of a fan. Won’t be returning

Lovely bungalow which had everything we needed for a perfect homely place to stay.

Would definitely recommend.

It's our 6th visit ,and hope to return.

The accommodation is very spacious and easy for families to spread out. It is remote, but we like that aspect. Most places are with 15 miles including Aberystwyth.

This property was a real find, best one yet for us as a couple.

It is just like living in someone's home, which is spacious and comfortable. As a couple of oldies being all on the ground floor is a bonus. (Could benefit from a walk in shower ) Everything you could need is supplied and the location is ideal for checking out the area both inland and along the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

This is a lovely bungalow in an idyllic rural local action only 20 mins drive from Aberaeron.

The owner is really pleasant. This is our second stay in 12 months and we will certainly book again.

I will be more then happy to go back again Felt like home nice area, the landlord was very helpful with keys collection.

Blaenywawr is a lovely, spacious and very well equipped bungalow in a tranquil setting.

Ideal for those who like to tuck themselves away from the hustle and bustle. Jean Griffiths, the owner, is friendly and on hand if you have any queries or need any help. Even though our two week stay was very rainy, the standard of the property made our stay very comfortable.

the property was clean warm and comfortable, plenty parking owners where very good people helpful in every way, a real chill out place to be, would recommend to any one very nice

Great bungalow, clean and fully stocked with kitchen stuff.

Fabulous to watch birds through kitchen window. My only gripe (very, very small one), fridge/ freezer was in utility room when it could have been fitted in when designing kitchen. There would be plenty of space inside and outside for 6 people. Loads of parking space too. HD TV was a bonus.

A super comfortable and spacious holiday home.

We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Very well located for many attractions and walks from the doorstep. Thank you, we would love to come again.

Everything you would expect and hope for.

Clean, relaxing and all the amenities. I would highly recommend a stay, and the owner who I met was kind and friendly. When I return to Wales I hope I can book the cottage again.

We had a lovely stay.

The property is quite remote, but then that can be said for a lot of Wales. There was everything we needed and it was clean and comfortable too. Watching the birds was a lovely bonus, including the visiting woodpecker. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to put your feet up for a week, then this is the place for you.

We had a wonderful break it was very quiet and peaceful.

Sitting in the garden watching the birds including the woodpecker's and kites. Meeting the owners Jean and Richard was lovely they was so friendly. The bungalow was bigger than we thought it was going to be and had everything we needed. Will be going back.

The property is stunning.

Isolated but with easy access to all the beautiful coastline and countryside. Everything that you could possibly need is at hand. The minute you walk in you feel completely at home. I can't thank the owners enough for allowing people the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property. It was so peaceful, especially at night with no light pollution. All the wildlife was an added bonus.

Lovely property.

Ideal place if you want to just get away from the hustle and bustle.

We had the best time, peace, tranquility, beautiful surroundings.

A heavenly little bolthole full of surprises . Stunning birds , even red kites. Friendly folk. The bungalow is perfect no matter the weather.

Absolutely beautiful property with everything you would need for a delightful stay.

Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely place, very clean.

Close to beaches and very quiet. We highly recommend

This property exceeded expectations.

We loved the isolated location. It was perfect for us. We will definitely go back b

Wi-Fi was down when we visited and phone signal was almost non existant in the house.

We were made aware of this by the owner who was lovely. Having said that the bungalow was warm, comfy and homely. Thank you for making our visit a pleasure.

O e of the.

best equipped and comfortable properties we have ever stayed in also spotlessly clean. Beautiful quiet location.

Very quiet, comfortable especially the beds once you find them under a mountain of pretty little pillows.

Bungalow is clean and tidy but too many ornaments. Not being Welsh we found the very strict recycling a bit confusing. However an very enjoyable holiday.

I would highly recommend the property Home from Home.

Beds very comfortable nice big bedroom’s. spacious bungalow. Very well kept gardens. We will book again plenty to do I have always loved the area. Bird watchers heaven. Plenty of friendly cows and horses that love to have fuss. I do highly recommend this bungalow not forgetting lovely Jean the owner she a diamond

Third stay for us and still love this place.

Comfortable, quiet, clean and very relaxing place to stay.Remains one of our favourite Sykes bookings.Jean, the property owner is always approachable and helpful. The birds and wildlife around and about are magical to watch,so many birds feeding in the garden, lovely to watch, especially the woodpecker .Diolch Jean, your kindness is very much appreciated xx

Just returned from our third stay here.

As always a great place to stay for a peaceful, relaxing break.Very helpful owner.Highly recommended.Diolch yn fawr Jean xx

Blaenywawr bungalow was an ideal place for us to stay as a family.

It was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of space to park the cars, and room for our grandchildren to play outside safely. It was just a short drive to the coast, and we had a lovely day out at Fantasy Fun Farm, which is close by. We’d have no hesitation in recommending it.

The cottage is very well equipped but was rather musty after the winter.

Maybe better to visit in the autumn after a good airing over the summer.

Blaenywawr is a modern bungalow set in the heart of rural Ceredigion.

We found the key exactly where we were told it would be and on entering found the property was lovely and warm. All rooms were cleaned to a very high standard and all furniture was in good order. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and nothing broken or unusable. We used the double bedroom at the front. The bed was comfortable but a little softer than we are normally used to and the storage more than adequate for our stay. The exterior has plenty of off road parking space and large areas of well kept lawns. The dining table is in the kitchen and it was adequate for we two but might be a bit of a squeeze for more than four. March is not really the time for sitting outside but we could find no outdoor furniture which could be used to enjoy the wonderful peace and quiet. This may, of course , be stored away. Although there is a nearby garage with a small shop (we didn't call) it should be noted that the property is about 25/30 minutes drive to Lampeter one way (good butcher and two bakeries) and to Aberaeron the other way for shopping. Blaenywawr is a 5 star holiday rental in a delightful spot and a credit to the owner. The welcome items were much appreciated as many rentals don't seem to bother these days.

Loved the property but with our weather in Wales not enough to do,we generally hire cottages with games room (Pool Table,Table Tennis) such an asset these days our only reason for not returning in the future other wise can’t fault the house or owner Jean .

Everything was just perfect and we were impressed with the effort that Jean has made in making such a lovely place to stay.

All the furnishings and decor were fabulous. It was a real treat. The most peaceful and quiet place you could ever wish to stay in. And the sky at night was actually unblemished by light contamination!

The cottage was very homily when we arrived,it was very clean, and the bedrooms was very big ,the lounge was also big .

the kitchen/diner had all facilities we needed. Lovely big garden and very peaceful wonderful to see the birds of all varieties (had to mention it was lovely) this cottage was great if you want a peaceful holiday, and the owners were great hosts. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this cottage.

Clean and comfortable with everything you need. I will be booking again and would highly recommend x

Beautiful bungalow, clean everything we needed and more.

Jean was a perfect host.

Wonderfully clean, well equipped and comfortable accomodation.

Quiet location with lots of parking. There was a cloakroom with a toilet and sink as well as the main bathroom which was useful. Two smart TV's so my son was happy! Weather was either really sunny or rainy but we had some lovely trips to Aberystwyth, Tenby and New Quay. Would recommend New Quay Boat trips -lovely staff and we saw dolphins and seals. A great holiday !

all whe wanted was there .

all working well / clean and good help from owner if nessare. propertie well looked after coming back next year . good advertising for owner and sykes to.

Beautiful place.

Felt at home minute walked through the door.Would love to stay again. All you could want and more

Wow Jean, what a beautiful cottage and a lovely stay.

Thank so much for everything: comfortable, clean well equipped and so peaceful, the only negative was having to leave, wished the holiday could have lasted forever!

What an absolute gem of a property.

From the moment we stepped through the door we felt at home, had an immediate sense that this home was loved by the owner and her family. So comfortable, clean and well equipped.Spoke to the owner as requested for key collection details and once as a courtesy call before we left for home, what a lovely lady you are Jean x If the following week had been available we would have liked to stay another week,we will definitely be looking to book again, the family members who stayed with us feel the same.Without doubt the best Sykes property we have had the pleasure to stay in and we've booked quite a few.Diolch Jean xx

The place was imaculate spot on!

The only problem was the fragrances in the rooms, which I thought I was too much for me. Thank you

Lovely home in nice area in Wales.

Loved the location in quiet area . Home comfortable and had all we required. Close to many villages and towns. We enjoyed our time there.

What a Lovely place So quiet and had all what was needed Jean was excellent will definitely go to the cottage again didn’t want to leave

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful bungalow.

It was very well-equipped and spacious. We have been renting cottages, twice a year, for the past 10 years and this property is probably the best that we have stopped at. The gardens were kept in good order and the whole experience was a real pleasure. The owners were extremely helpful.

OUTSTANDING.

. property is great we had a super stay, well done thank you very much

On arrival we were very impressed with the location and look of the cottage.

Directions and key collection instructions were spot on. Once inside we were impressed with the size, comfort and cleanliness. Comfortable beds with quality bedding. We had beautiful starry nights and sunrises on some days and had only one rainy day, so lucky. Nice to have the bird feeders in the garden. We visited the coastal villages and fell in love with Aberporth. Would love to visit this lovely cottage again. Thank you for everything.

Lovely and comfortable.

Clean. Everything we needed. Peanuts for the garden birds was a lovely touch. Enjoyed feeding them and seeing them every day. No complaints at all. Had a great week and no doubt will stay again.

Lovely cottage.

Absolutely spotless. Very peaceful. Lovely owners feel like I have known them years. Thank you Jean for everything.

The house was gorgeous, very clean and comfortable.

Everything we needed. The owners were on hand for any questions.

The bungalow was perfect for a relaxing holiday for my wife and I.

It is located in a quite area surrounded with well kept gardens with plenty of wild life to observe. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities needed for a great holiday. This was our second holiday at the property and the communication with the home owner was excellent. Also the complimentary drinks and Welsh cakes was a nice touch. We hope to book the bungalow again in the future.

Had a wonderful time at Blaen-Y-Wawr.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable property;home from home.Peaceful countryside location, not too far from coast.Cannot fault it.This was our second visit;will be returning. Thank you.Jean and Graham Jenkinson.

The cottage was great, very spacious and comfortable, it had everything we needed, it had a lovely garden, great internet we loved our stay, the only downside was the mattress in the smaller double room was so hard we were unable to sleep on it, which was a shame as the other double bed was so comfortable, but we still give a massive thumbs up and highly recommend staying there.

This is an excellent holiday home.

Very spacious for a family of 5 and very well equipped. For those with kids or us adults even, who need to have good wifi yet enjoy a quiet and secluded rural location I think this holiday house beats pretty much all the other similar places we've stayed at. Added benefits include excellent TV's in both lounge and kitchen diner, really comfortable beds, decent sized lawned garden with birds and wildlife around you. It's about 20-30 mins drive to the beach options, so bear that in mind and the narrow roads around the area keep you focused and for beach days don't set off too late to get parking spaces.

Great accommodation, in a great location.

Close enough to access travel routes but still a world away for relaxation. Excellent wifi. Many thanks for a great stay, hopefully we’ll be able to stay here again in the future.

A lovely home away from home in a quiet and peaceful location.

Plenty of great places to walk and enjoy in the locality.

We had a lovely holiday & were very impressed with everything to do with Blaen y Wawr.

The countryside around the property is beautiful, the position is great - only 6 miles or so from Aberaeron & Lampeter & there was everything that we needed at the property & it was all of very good quality! We would love to return again at some stage in the future

A lovely return visit to this lovely bungalow in delightful rural souroundings

We really enjoyed our time at Blaenywawr bungalow.

It is a lovely rural location and the property is beautifully presented. The coast is a short drive away. Thank you for the warm welcome - it made our holiday in Wales a memorable experience.

We found the cottage was ideal for our family holiday well equipped Extremely comfortable and spotless in an ideal position for visiting the coast or inland we hope to visit again next year Many thanks to the owner for her information about the area and facilities

This was a stunning property in a peaceful rural location but only 20 mins from New Quay or Aberaeron beaches (and other amenities)and only 30 mins from Aberystwyth.

The property had ALL the facilities we could ask for and more importantly for our teenage Children the WIFI was excellent. The Garden was also very Large and well kept allowing us to Relax in the beautiful weather. We will be returning at some point in the very near future. Thank you to the proprietor Jean Griffiths for allowing us to stay here. Gerald & Barbara Wheeler and Family

The bungalow was excellent and in a rural area but not too far from great beaches and things to do.

Would highly recommend.

It’s great place for break and everything there feels like home

The bungalow we booked was excellent with all the facilities we needed for a relaxing country holiday.

There were plenty of places of interest to visit and we would recommend to prospective holiday makers.

We had a very peaceful holiday in this well appointed bungalow.

The owner was very helpful and telephoned during the week to check we were alright. The property is not in a village and is quite remote in beautiful countryside. It is really dark at night and might not be suitable for people who like busy places. However for us it was fine. The house was spacious, modern and nicely furnished with every facility including fast WiFi. High standards here are the norm.

It would have been nice to have another settee in the lounge and with more people the bathroom could have had a long queue, but other than that beautifully presented.

Oh the internet speed was very impressive.

We were delighted with this bungalow.

It was spacious, clean and set in a lovely rural area, 7 miles from Aberaeron. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, cookware and comfortable furniture, all in very good condition. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would recommend this bungalow highly.
