Hot tub and log burner great.

Good WiFi. Sofas and bed comfy with plenty of space. Welcome milk, bacon and coffee. Dishwasher tabs provided. Washing up sponges and cloths provided, lots of electric sockets, iron & ironing board, hairdryer. Owners were quick to put right any issues we highlighted to them. However, there were issues we didn’t bring to their attention at the time, as they’d already been in previous feedback and not addressed or wouldn’t have been able to correct during our stay. - Rubbish by hot tub and outside bedroom window - Welcome pack underwhelming, just coffee no tea. No local produce other than bacon. - BBQ dirty, full of ash and not useable - Only one large towel provided per person staying, one hand towel to share, inadequate giving there is a hot tub as well. Bring extras as you can’t get anything dry easily. - Privacy lacking as car parked for other accommodation outside the front and looking directly in, little/ no privacy by hot tub - Maybe a great venue by no view or nice surroundings - Dogs welcome but no grass area nearby for exercise just slate - Kitchen ~ Chipped crockery, frying pan handle loose (dangerous), no oven gloves, no kitchen roll, plate drying rack rusty and dirty, placemats tatty and dirty, coffee machine but no pods or instructions, no washing up liquid - Bathroom ~ smells damp, very dirty in corners, dirty behind toilet, no storage (cabinet not fit for purpose), grout in floor tiles broken and dirty, no non-slip mat for shower (very slippy), cobwebs above shower been there for a long time. - Bedrooms ~ bedding very tired, pillows very thin, storage not adequate - No where to dry towels, cannot control heating or towel rail in bathroom. hooks outside all rusty. - Smell of drains outside and little comfortable outside space, bbq dirty and not enough outside seats for four people. Don’t get me wrong this place could be fabulous with a few tweaks! I would return with tweaks made/provided. Such as More towels or robes, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, oven gloves, non-slip mat for shower, washing up liquid, mop, tissues, better quality bedding, more pictures from local artists, access to heating to dry towels or a tumble dryer? Welcome pack could contain: bacon, milk, coffee, plus maybe welcome note from owners, eggs, tea bags, dog treats, biscuits, jam … all locally sourced of course.

Overall a good holiday bungalow .

Positives: Loads of parking space adjacent . Easy to understand, and use, cooker and shower ! Large fridge/freezer Negatives: Down steep uneven drive. Exit tricky back up out onto road . Impossible to pull curtains in main living area .Either pole too fat or it needs polishing. Both settees were uncomfortable- too deep , with little support ! Not quite home from home . Dreena. One week stay in September.
